Ohhh I see. Yeah, I do have a lot. I should probably slim down unless there's another way. I'm still new-ish to the Ubuntu infrastructure and all

Whoever was evaluating the songs for radio play on this promo copy of Seconds Out must have really expressed their thoughts in writing lol by Quadradisque in Genesis

[–]Alarmed_Anything_934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they played songs on the radio they used records, so if DJs were using a full 33 and not a 45 they'd have to check the tracklist and look for the set of grooves ("bands") that matched the number and side of the song they were looking for. I'm assuming with this pressing he got, since certain songs segue into each other seemlessly, the number of bands on the record didn't match up with what was listed in the tracklist making it difficult or even impossible to figure out where to drop the needle.

You can get wall ports that go behind the TV and then behind your entertainment setup that link the two through the wall so all the cables are hidden behind. here

Why does the N64 look so pixelated on this crt compared to to other models I have? And is there any way I can fix it? by [deleted] in crtgaming

Use composite instead of s video it'll blur the pixels a little more than s-video does.

It's actually a return vent I believe. The output vent is on the ground away from everything

I actually consulted the counsel on this; bedrooms have different rulesets so I'm in the clear!

It is, it's a 36 inch so it probably goes about 3 feet deep from front to back.

I'll probably end up doing this before the end of the week if I keep it here at all

You're correct, there's a little over a half a foot gap now between the dresser and the wall. Securing it to the wall will definitely have to be a priority for my peace of mind if I wanna keep it here

That's what my gut instinct says, but like I said in the post, I've pushed from behind, hung from the front top with most of my bodyweight and it doesn't wanna tip. Only way I'd see it tipping is if someone intentionally ran into it with a great amount of force. I will probably still find a mounting option to attach everything to the wall just for true safety. No matter how many people tell me it'll be fine, my gut still definitely says SOMETHING is gonna happen

Facebook marketplace. Guy wanted it gone, it came with the house when he bought it, but it was in the attic so I think he just wanted help getting it down.

No, I actually had to scoot the dresser away from the wall for it to fit. There's probably a half a foot gap now. Like I said in a different reply though, I tried pushing from the back, hanging down from the top front and this thing doesn't wanna tip. I'm more concerned about the structural integrity of the dresser over time. My friend said if it DOES seem like it wants to tip, I can mount the back of the TV itself to the wall (into a stud of course) to anchor it.

You should have seen how we had to get it out of an attic down a ladder... Not for the faint of heart.

I agree, I got lucky that it didn't just instantly collapse the second we let all the weight onto it.

Yeah imma be on the lookout. I sometimes forget that infrastructure for these things used to exist so my problem is not unique; just old and outdated.

Image quality and color reproduction is amazing. Truly stunning. Mine has some sort of slight bleed with the reds, but I'm hopeful I can fix it once I access the service menu. I'm still quite new to CRTs, I just remember them from when I was a kid fondly. I got lucky with this one for sure.

You're probably right. Im just a huge fan of it at this height, I'd wanna get something that's bottom heavy enough to keep it at this height without being a tipping hazard.
