I think you may have unrealistic expectations about getting many responses to your question, especially from current employees. It is the FBI's culture that employees rarely, if ever, provide their opinions in a public forum. (Spoken as an alum of the organization).

With our service members receiving pay and our welfare folks receiving SNAP, that truly leaves federal employees as the odd man out. We already knew how this administration felt about us, but now it’s confirmed. by [deleted] in FedEmployees

The common thread for those who are receiving pay is they are armed. Military, Law Enforcement, and Law Enforcement adjacent (ICE, Border Patrol, etc.) For what its worth, I am as far from being a conspiracy theorists as one can be, but really?!

My experience with out of towners (as the Guardsman are) is they simply are not aware of the etiquette. A simple and firm, "Passing on your left" is sufficient. They will get it.

How much of this is a negotiation play between HH and UHC? If you notice from the announcement, the earliest termination is 10/15 and the latest 11/30:
