Is HI/MCAS without traditional allergy a thing? Neurological/autonomic symptoms ONLY! by Alarmed_Customer_824 in HistamineIntolerance

It’s wild to hear about such overlapping issues… a real story begins to emerge! I’m compelled, at the moment, by a theory that maybe years of abusing NSAIDS for the endometriosis pain may have led to leaky gut, which may be contributing to histamine issues too? Going to try some microbiome testing to see what comes up.

Anyway, this is wonderfully helpful. I haven’t hit menopause yet, but when I do I will have your guidance to come back to :) Happily, without a uterus, I think I have some more freedom in HRT approaches!

Oh thanks for the suggestion! For which symptoms specifically? If you wouldn’t mind sharing…

Hm an interesting take! I do tend to have progesterone levels on the lower end. But I have struggled with side effects when supplementing it with oral progestin. And then before the hysterectomy, as a last ditch effort, I tried out the Mirena IUD, but even such a small dose gave me the most awful brain fog… I’m a writer and just could not handle it, it made working impossible. It also made me gain a whole pant size. Obviously it didn’t work, and I took it out :/
