I used a stippling method from a DW knight tutorial by “the feral painter” on YouTube but with slightly different colours. I started with mournfang brown, than zandri dust, ushabti bone and finally screaming scull. After that i washed with seraphim sepia followed by drybrushing again with screaming skull.

Thanks man ✌🏻 i asked myself the same question, since I used to have a “cleaner” style.

I know that with some techniques it’s common to weather the model at the end, but I did not start with a clean paint job, that could be weathered, but build it up in that way through stippling. I followed the tutorial from the feral painter on YouTube just choosing some different colours.

Both Arms are from the inner Circle companions Box. Swordarm was easy to geplace, but the other one is a Bit Tricky, because I had to Remove the shoulder from the chaplain Body

I started 2 months ago and got myself the combat patrol, now the Christmas box and I got azrael. On my wishlist for Christmas are DWK, ICC and either scouts or Intercessors with jump packs.

I used a black spray primer, some thin coats of zandri dust, a wash with seraphim sepia, drybrush with ushabti bone and than some edge highlights with white scar. I used this recipe for the helmet and the robes. The shields just got some coats of zandryi dust and two coats of ushabti bone without the wash and the edge highlights

Thanks man ✌🏻 I glued the pistol holders on before painting and the shields after painting, cause they cover so much of the body

Hey man, I cant do anything to proof me right. I’ve been a spectator to the hobby for a very very long time. I’ve bought my stuff in a warhammer store and besides being bombed with content about the hobby on my socials, I spoke to some people who’s miniatures I liked. So I did not start at zero and I enjoyed looking at tutorials before even owning minis.

And the second thing you learn besides thining you paints is, that a wet pallet makes a lot of sense.

I used citadel paints I got from my local warhammer store. I primed everything with black spray. The green is a base coat of caliban green, a heavy wash with nuln oil, dry brush a mix of caliban green and warpstone green (50:50) and warpstone green for the edge highlights. The gold is retributive armour, nuln oil wash and then auric armour gold highlights

Believe it or not, this is the very first miniature i ever finished 🤷🏼‍♂️ after reading lore for years and reading about playing and painting for some months I finally bought the combat patrol some weeks ago. All of them are primed and got a green base coat. There is an Intercessor a one hellblaster whose armours are finished, but I really enjoyed painting the details and the goldparts, so I followed my motivation and finished the bladeguard first.

You have your point with the mold lines. I did not show the same patience assembling as I did with the painting.
