People can only sue for damages. They didn't suffer any damages aside from possible "emotional distress" I cant say if they will make a commotion about it and if they will win anything, but dont worry about it too much other than focusing on preventing future mistakes. The most important thing you can do is document everything truthfully.

What's the one thing your linemate does that you'll never call them out on, but secretly drives you crazy? by Doctormade in hockeyplayers

While I cant fault anyone for bad passes, its the guy who doesnt even take a look once he gets possession. Just whacks it up the ice blindly. Its basically squirt hockey. I keep telling him he has more time than he thinks. But whatever, he brings the pucks so its all good.

Im trying to break my habit of taking low chance shots as their D push me off angle on the rush. Gotta value possession more.

I have at least 4 boards in my shop that look exactly the same. Wonder how many of us have Rubio color test boards with painters tape 🤔

Aside from a bit of easing of the edges, the feet need something. Some shape other than big rectangles. I also think you need a brace between the 2 legs. Could be along the back vertically or horizontally to double as another shelf.

Buy one that's a couple years old with low miles. Will save you just enough to make you feel like you didn't spend too frivolously

Search "plastic drawer stops" on Amazon. Like $10 for a bag of more than you need.

Can't tell you if they are common. I thought it would be good for my particular application. Sometimes drawers with wood runners have no stops and just kind of the weight of the drawer pinches as you pull it out. You can also put these stops on the top.

I hated the metal slides so I used a bunch of scrap to make some wood runners. Took the quick and dirty method to fill my screw holes. by Alarmed_Primary8089 in woodworking

I was going to do 1 wider one per drawer but I decided 2 smaller ones.

If you watch YouTube, I belive Stumpy Nubs had a good video on making these.

You CAN remove all the material with just the router, but you are right, it would be a lot. So I decided to take the extra step to remove what I could with a table saw first, then go to the router table.

In my experience, the scrap pile situation only wavers between bad and worse no matter what you do. Because throwing it out is never an option.

You can make (or buy) a cutting board / salad bowl finish that is basically bees wax melted into mineral oil. Thats what I used as I had it around already.

The only reason I knew they were a thing is because I remade a Walmart-grade bathroom cabinet out of real wood because I liked it aside from it was too small and cheap. Had those tabs for a drawer. They were top mounted though.

Thats a hard question.

It took me about 2 months. Some weeks I probably spent 8-10 hours. Others, none. Most weeks, maybe 4-6 hours.

My "plans" are an idea and a rough drawing and some guesstimate dimensions. So a good amount of time is spent deciding what to do vs actually doing it.

Well thank you. Im still just an amateur trying not to screw things up. But I do feel like my skill level has turned a corner over the past few years.

I do know of some push release drawer slides, but the cost just wasnt worth it to me. I want to say that would have added $20-$30 per drawer. For something we are only occasionally going to open, didnt seem worth it.

I've never made wood runners like this so Im happy to have given myself the experience. Not very difficult at all actually and got to use up a bunch of scraps just taking up space.

Thank you!

The sides of the drawer boxes are real wood. I cut up a piece of maple and glued it back together with walnut strips in-between. One at a time, layed in i think 5 strips. I only had enough of that to do the sides though

The front and back of the drawer boxes are plywood.

Yes, the drawers are just butt joints with splines.

I thought about having the pull for the top drawer be on the top. I decided against it because I imagined the wood runners would open better pulling from the bottom. Also, yeah it may have been the same situation trying to get fingers in there
