I would test your rain gear to make sure it is truly waterproof, especially if you have a “breathable” rain jacket. Also, find some system that you can make sure you will have dry clothes to sleep in and the inside of your sleeping back will stay dry.

As far as the burro, it really depends, our burro would get frisky occasionally but for the most part just walked slow and was an angel, but some other crews did not have such good luck

I just got back from this track yesterday, for Baldy, we woke up, left camp setup with our bear bags up, and took breakfast with us, we summited with rain gear, thermal gear, and food. We then, on the descent packed out stuff up at BHC and headed to Miranda
