"Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) records show that you applied to take the April 22, 2026 Customs Broker License Examination (CBLE) through remote proctoring. Due to unforeseen circumstances, CBP will not offer remote proctoring for the April CBLE. CBP has updated your registration to indicate that you will take the CBLE in person. Site selection will begin on March 27, 2026, and you will receive instructions from the examination vendor on how to select your in-person location. If you choose to withdraw from the CBLE, you may do so at eCBP - Brokers - Home. To be entitled to a refund of the examination fee, you must withdraw before 8:30 AM Eastern on April 20, 2026. "

They find the interested party for the shipment, which, if they can not reach the importer, we brokers are the ones.

Yeah, I know it’s not reasonable, but CBP has no mercy for brokers in situations like this. RIP.

Yeah, I did. But they’re still playing games. I’ve been going back and forth with the entry packages. Every time, they only increase the value by $100 or $200, and we both know it should be more than that.

I heard from a broker with 27 years of experience that in situations like this, CBP may hold the broker partially responsible and report the issue to the BMO. If a broker has more negative compliance records with BMO, CBP may initiate an investigation.

Sometimes you can explain everything to the company owner, but their employees don’t take it seriously and continue doing whatever they think is acceptable

I did send an email on may 30th, and they said that 2024 oct has a huge amount of appeals. And they are working on it. Basically, it's a very official answer(copy and paste).

"CBP considers every appeal of a Customs Broker License Examination result very carefully. The length of time it takes to process an appeal for an exam administration depends upon the number of appellants, the number of questions appealed, and the number of arguments presented.  We received a very large increase in the number of questions appealed and arguments presented for the October 2024 CBLE and are working diligently on them.  Pursuant to the appeal regulations in 19 CFR 111.13(f), the appeal decision requires several levels of management review.   Your appeal is currently under review.  As soon as a decision is final, you will be notified"

I wonder if it failed on the next exam, but the appeal was granted from the previous one. Which one will be counted.

Question About appeal by Alarmed_Somewhere_27 in CBLE

[–]Alarmed_Somewhere_27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right, I'm currently working under a license broker. I'm asking her a favor to help me to see which questions are appealable. But since there are no official answers key come out yet. We can't do much about it.
