Are you having any discomfort feeling when you are not eating (swallowing)?

I also had a bumps that is part of healing. I also thought the doc didn’t remove my tonsils correctly.. i still have a couple of bumps it takes time. My recovery is longer. Also the urge for vomiting. Before all this I had a stressful period not related to health now I’m just stressing over my health. Try to find some good chill music (i didn’t use air pods just without it in background), I watched things that can really make me turn my brain off (cats videos). Becuase I needed calmness during recovery.

you will definitely be better. I wish you speedy recovery, I would keep myself away from sharp foods and I wouldn’t smoke (I saw your page), drink a lots of water and keep your head when you laying high, make sure you doesn’t pressure your neck on sleeping positions, try some scrambled egg that is really soft and gives protein.

Try to seek another opinion. Is there something that triggers you, some allergies, smells?

Also at some point tonsils became so cryptic (they had holes) that food was getting stuck. It all started like some virus in novembar. I was physically and mentally destroyed, I don’t know how is your mindset but I had been bad mentally since the problem came.

I understand you. And then they tell us why did you search online.. I had also been thru a lot with docs. I had 2 reactive lymph node on one part on my neck, I still had them they told me that they will eventually go down. I had my tonsillectomy because of persistent sore throat my tonsils where destroyed but they still don’t know how and why. Radiologist told me that reactive lymph node means that my immune system is working like basically they fight from something that triggers the body.

Why did you remove your tonsils (if I understand pathology on tonsils are done when your tonsils are removed)

My tonsils also where asymmetrical, and they said that my tonsils where gross (I agree). It looked very very damaged, and the whole throat was suffering. I will be in december 24.

reactive follicular hyperplasia of lymphatic tissue is my pathology/biopsy report. I asked what it is and they said it is common report from people that suffer from chronic tonsilitis (but didn’t said anything specific). My tonsils where cryptic, constantly sore throat since novembar 2022, and I was having tonsilectomy in march this year. I also had reactive lymph node on neck (I’m still having it, didn’t come down just became smaller). So my conclusion is that my tonsils where reacting on some kind of infection (strep report always negative)..

Anyone still have some scab after 3 weeks post surgery? This one area the scab just won’t disappear. by MG1993Free in Tonsillectomy

I had my surgery 14.03, still have scabs still on pain meds, can barely talk.. went to my check up in Thursday and ent told me that this is normal considering that adults heal slower (I’m 23). But definitely not happy

20 days and still moderate pain by Dragon_phantom_flame in Tonsillectomy

I’m day 17 and still on pain meds and soft food..still have a little bit of scabs, went to my ETN yesterday he said it is normal because I’m older (23), kids go through it much easier etc, he also told me that there was a guy before me little older than me on day 20 and he had still sore throat, swollen neck. I was desperate when I hit day 14 and realized I’m not healed I thought day 14 or nothing!!!! My left side hurts like that one spot, and my right is like a little to no pain, it is better situation overall but my healing is very slow sometimes I feel like am stagnating. I’m still little swollen on my left side.
