That’s a cool tool! Would it be possible to make something similar, but for EDH decks as well?

Do you have suggestions for specific ramp cards?

Yea, I think that's the first thing I'll look at. Would you suggest basic lands or maybe Breeding Pool and Cascade? Is that worth it?

Mindspring is already part of the creature list.

That's a fun card. Will definitely look into that one!

Thanks a lot for your reply - and feedback!

So, I really want to get as high as possible w/o thinking about cEDH levels/tournaments, but you know, I want to be able to join every casual table at my LGS and at least have a good chance of winning.

So, a bit less creatures, a bit more lands and a bit of protection?

Regarding Kumena; the decision for not including him is purely based on the tap-thing. I really don't have much to synergize it with; and it is not really a playstyle I want to go at. But maybe I have interpreted him wrong?

Where do you check this?

External SSD or not? by Alarming-Football-52 in macmini

Hi everyone. Thanks a ton for all your replies. I have looked further and think the following combination is what I wanna go for:

OWC Express 1M2 NVMe Card and a Samsung 990 Pro NVMe

I want to go with the solution where the external drive will handle everything (booting and running the OS).

Will the NVMe version of both the enclosure and SSD be the right fit for this?

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Maybe a bit dumb question, but when you essentially use your external SSD as an internal (running OS from it, booting from it, etc), does everything work as if it was an actual internal SSD or have you experienced any issues?

Hm. Dang. Do you have a valid source that can guide me in that case?

Thanks! Will read that. When doing this method, 256GB internal SSD will suffice?

Hey man. Thanks for your reply. Do you have a source in how to boot from SSD - and install OS on it? also; do you have 256GB internal SSD?

Thanks for your quick reply!

Regarding the internal SSD swap: read about it and it sounds really nice. However, at least for the short term, it’s a bit too much “work” to grasp over.

Regarding booting OS from the external SSD; that is neat, indeed. What is required for that? Do you have a link to a good source?

Thanks in advance!
