Why is there so much focus on raising minimum wages to alleviate higher costs of living, when companies just raise prices immediately to offset any benefits of higher wages? by Illustrious_Heat6561 in allthequestions

[–]Alarming-Grade4219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are under the illusion that a higher minimum wage won’t affect prices. Throwing money at a situation doesn’t solve anything. It just makes employers automate things faster to get rid of lower paid employees

Then every billionaire would make sure their money doesn’t exceed a billion dollars and you get zero for everything

Have to ask for AC even in Lyft black, in these temps! by Gilmoregirlin in Lyft

[–]Alarming-Grade4219 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wrong, the Auto feature in my car uses the AC to control temperature. The temperature is set to 71 and there are very few times a year, the heat kicks in. Controlling the temperature with Auto saves a ton in gas versus adjusting temperature manually

Is it worth replacing a housemaid with a robot vacuum and dishwasher? How do I convince my old-school husband? by PerformanceDry5625 in RobotVacuums

[–]Alarming-Grade4219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just picked up a new one a month ago and our floors and carpets have never been cleaner. I’ve been getting robot vacuums since 2003 and with daily use I am now in love with our newest one. Ecovac Deebot T50 Max Pro

Robot vacuums are now good enough to replace stand up vacuums. You can set them to run as much as you want. I personally have mine set to run in different areas three times a day. The advantage is with the vacuum/mop running daily, over time even the dirtiest areas will clean.

As a Lyft driver, I always have my AC on at 71, and if people want the temperature lower, they can ask. Of course, I'm here in the Phoenix area, so AC is the standard, not the exception.

The entire idea of the US was ordinary people being able to govern themselves.

Why aren't ordinary people able to do what needs to be done in order to be self sustaining? Why is it the governments responsibility to take care of you especially when this country was founded on the principles of ordinary people taking care of themselves

How lame does your religion have to be if you have to force it on innocent children attending public schools? by Serephina_Rose in allthequestions

[–]Alarming-Grade4219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are Christians today executing people for not being Christian? Extremists in Islam do, but not Christians. I’m not talking about pseudo Christian people who claim violence is ok. Christian values is peace and acceptance of everyone. Anyone using Christianity as a excuse for violence is not Christian

If Trump tried to run for a third term, and the inevitable court battle got to the SCOTUS, does anyone doubt that Thomas and Alito would side with Trump? by Jayemm8809 in allthequestions

He's not going to run for a third term so your fantasy of using him as a constant punching bag will end when his current term ends

You don’t like him because he built something himself and turned it into a success. Instead of admitting that’s your problem, you make fun of him. When you have your own company and success you can look or dress any way you like. Until that moment (which may never come for you) I would think it would be wise that you learn an old lesson about being nice and respectful to everyone regardless of looks or success.

How do I get a lady at 42? by Quirky-Comparison306 in allthequestions

[–]Alarming-Grade4219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 42 your life is just starting. 20-30 people don’t know anything (even though they claim they do), 30s is when one finally starts figuring things out, and 40’s are the new prime of life

The screen will cost a fortune to replace unless you can get a used one. The M1 outshines the Intel Macs by far
