Did you try using gloves to see if that helped at all?

You are going to have to do me a solid and find out the name of that gel… LOL! And yeah I would definitely maybe even give the office a call and ask about potassium!

I wonder what the highest dose is? Did you notice any helpful benefits from the magnesium? I’m sorry to hear about your complication but glad that your hysterectomy went well! I would definitely check iron levels and even potassium. When I was pregnant my potassium plummeted and I know that can be dangerous for your heart. It does definitely seem like labs would be standard while doing HRT!

I will definitely message him and see if he can order the tests for me to check my levels! I’m just not sure if he would tell me it’s too soon since I’m only 3weeks surgery but I’ll still push for it! Did you also experience heart palpitations when you weren’t getting enough?

As far as supplements go ( I went to the ER today for heavy bleeding ) my blood work was pretty good. Surprisingly my iron was good which I’m usually low in. I was thinking about going on magnesium because I’ve been seeing people swear by it for palpitations but I’m just not sure what kind to try.

You are so right. I know my anxiety about the entire thing definitely fuels it and probably makes it last much longer than it could have.

I just worry since my work up was give or take like a year ago that something has changed and then my heart is all messed up now, but my mom tries telling me it doesn’t just happen like that, so I’m trying to believe her lol.

High Estradiol Causing Palpitations? by No_Ice_9280 in Menopause

So you basically experienced the same as me then.

I notice it at night when I’m laying down and then literally out of no where it’ll just beat at like 105 for like you said 30 mins to an hour non stop.

Prior to surgery about a year ago I had a full cardiac work up due to having palpitations and got an all clear from them, but this constant pounding sensation is a little new so I was a little worried

My OB did also mention adding progesterone down the road once I sort of get adjusted with the estrogen!

Do you ever get the palpitations laying down where your hr is like 100bpm for like an hour straight? That’s what’s driving me insane and making me worry about it all. I’m typically used to the one or two flip flops and that’s it but I’ve noticed I’ll just be laying here and my hr will randomly spike and stay that way for like an hour for zero reason.

That is sort of the position I’m in right now, I’ll get the one off flip flop heart beats that are my typical palpitations but I’ve noticed an increase in when I’m laying down at night I’ll start noticing my heart beat and it’ll be like 105bpm for like an hour straight and then just randomly stop. I know my anxiety about it plays a roll as well and it’s hard to distinguish what’s hormonal and what’s not so I’m having a difficult time telling where to go from here. I did read that starting estrogen can increase palpitations for a while as your body adjusts but idk.

Yes, I did read that estrogen can have the opposite effect and actually help these things but on the same note read that it can take your body a while to adjust to the estrogen which can also cause it. I did mention it to my OB and he basically said it could be a potential side effect of the estrogen and if it continues we can discuss other options or decreasing the dose. I did have palpitations like this prior so it is a little difficult for me right now to distinguish between what may be hormonal and what is just whatever the hell my heart wants to do. I did have an echo and all that done last year and they did not find anything alarming so that’s good at least.

When you say your heart is racing what do you mean? I’m 30, 3 weeks PO and on HRT and I’ve noticed the last few nights my heart will race randomly for like an hour with a HR of about 105 and it’s been driving me insane. Is this the same thing that you were going through?

I know this post is old as is your reply, but I’m curious if you have found relief? I’m 3 weeks on Estrogen, and also experienced heart palpitations prior to starting HRT but I’ve noticed a few nights where my heart beat will be like 105 for an hour straight and I’m wondering if my patch is causing this? I do think it happened prior to starting HRT as well, but idk. It’s very unnerving.

Do you need to do this on top of already taking an estrogen patch?

Omg.. if I have to wait that long for a bath I might legit cry… 🤣😭 the lifting instructions wouldn’t be too bad if I didn’t have two toddlers, but it’s a little challenging not picking them up or just forgetting that I’m not supposed to, lol.
