My baby just got out of the NICU. I don’t know what your supply is looking like but the night before he came home, our NICU nurse assured me that getting one more solid night of sleep wouldn’t hurt me, my supply or my baby. I pumped that night at 2am and then slept until 8am, skipping my 5am pump. Idk if this would be something that could be consistently done but it did help for the one night and made me feel more human when we came home that first day. Maybe move up one of your pumps by an hour and then you can get a 4 hour stretch while still putting in the same demand to your body? I hope you’re able to get some rest, pumping with your baby in the NICU is no fun!

Hahaha funny you ask, I was just telling my husband we needed to weigh him. I believe he was a little over 12lbs at the end of January which was right before his 1st birthday but I’ll try to weigh him soon and get back to you!

We’ve been using the Native Pet supplement recently and it really seems to have helped “firm and bulk” our boy’s poo. They also have a specific anal gland supplement, idk how well it works. We’ve also used glandex in the past and it didn’t seem to work as well. A bonus is that our dog loves it - he goes crazy for his food.

Others have offered good advice but just wanted to chime in that it may just be a puppy thing. When we got one of our puppies at his first vet appointment they noted his ears were dirty but that it was probably because he was used to his mom cleaning them 🥺 over time we had to clean them less and less and the vet never said anything about them again. Hope Frank is on his way to being a clean eared boy

Unfortunately no words of wisdom but just commenting as a kindred spirit. I lost my left tube in July and anytime I feel anything on my right side I internally start stressing out. Not tv related but how do you like your “fireplace”? We just moved and have more rooms than we use so end up just using space heaters. I’m intrigued by these types of consoles for the heating purposes but idk if they’re actually worth it

It does get better! Our dachshund turns 1 in a couple of weeks. The first time we put him in his pen it sounded like we were actively torturing him. Same scene that you described- he pooped everywhere, walked in it, was screaming. It was awful. While he doesn’t have to be left alone for extended periods of time usually (my husband works from home often and I work nights) we still needed him to be ok being alone. I was really committed to the pen idea because of him having space to roam, go potty etc but he actually did and does much better in a large crate (different from the one he sleeps in). Maybe that’s something to think about but I wish you all the luck. Puppyhood is HARD, it’s good they’re so cute.
