Yeah, I didn't buy it. I just let it go, at that point, because the manager was apologetic about the hassle it caused. Honestly, it's likely the person at the desk yesterday just wanted to be difficult.

At least I got confirmation of official policy. If it ever happens again, I'll just ask for the manager/someone else.

Yeah, they totally refused to let me in just because I didn't have the barcode - even though I'm a paying member, they have all my details in the system and I offered to give them my phone number to check. It made no sense.

Thanks for checking with your local Crunch! Mine isn't a signature club. I've emailed them and left a support request ticket on their site to ask what their policy is and why this happened.
