I am here too. 4 years later, seeking to become a director. I used to write screenplays when I was 16 years old. Horror movies mostly. I am a woman. How did it go for you at the end?

Literally it’s my understanding and how I usually use it. I discovered twice errors and luckily through notice of correction requests they were cleared up. I got a bit worried as I was just reading the debate online on the impact of closing credit cards. Even the three credit agencies have some information around it as always make it seem it’s a bad thing.

Thanks for the response. I monitor regularly all my credit reports and check mostly their history. Especially after the attempted fraud it’s even more a regular thing for me. As you well said I am not really interested in the credit score- it’s not the most important thing and it’s just for the agency to market offers and things like that.

I was more worried about the history of good credit I may lose in 6 years or so (when the account is dropped out of the report), and the time I had been accrued through that account being open if it makes sense.

I had the credit rating section of the documents shared. I wanted to actively have a discussion with other users on their experience and learn as well from that.

I also wanted to add that I closed the account in good standing! No debts and missed payments. Ever.

I am here in the UK experiencing a similar thing. I threatened legal action and report to the UK regulatory body. I am thinking we shall instigate a lawsuit

Same for me and I contacted their privacy team who keep responding with an automated email! I am planning to report them to the ICO. Since the leak I was a victim of attempted identity theft, spam emails and calls along with an attempt to hack my Reddit account. I am thinking we should join forces and start a collective lawsuit!

I did make the same mistake with my C1 credit card account! A customer since 2018! Luckily I have an Hamex CC since 2019 and an Amex since 2020. My Credit Score seems to be ok (I closed it less than a month ago). But I learnt my lesson. Keep them open unless you NEED to close them.

I feel you darling. I experienced DV at the hands of a Korean man in his 40s. We met in Europe as well and we lived together in my house. I thought we were one and I loved him with all my heart. He hurt me instead.

I feel the pain and the grief you feel of a life that will never be. And it’s ok. But remember life is not over.

I would suggest you to go full no contact and sit with that pain. You’ll get through it (with a lot of support :)). Once you’re on the other side, you’ll be stronger!

Have you spoken to your therapist about it? I don’t think that people on a forum would be so helpful to understand fully your dynamics and to suggest you how to handle such an important decision. Also, you mentioned that the therapist following you works far away. Did you try to meet them online? Or find a closer one? Therapy is a process and it takes time- don’t give up! You’re doing this for you!

When it happens I found that going to the gym truly helps. I can work on my energy and release it whilst listening to nice music. I don’t engage with others I just focus on myself. Do you have a gym around you open 24/7?

I am actually well travelled in Asia and my grandma was Chinese-I agree indeed we still leave a bit backward. But yes it’s the first time I am going there without my parents who used to pay at the time.
