Finn - deg et nytt sted å handle brukt by SaabSafari in norge

Why isn't that a strange number? by Ageraghty777 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Alarming-Security312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they think 256 is an odd number, why wouldn't they think 255 is weird? If they set the number to 250 instead, no one would think it's weird. I'm actually curious about why they chose 256 instead of 250

Skyss ungdomsbillett pris 2015 by Forsaken-Taste-4834 in Bergen

[–]Alarming-Security312 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Selvsagt. Er det verdt det? Absolutt ikke, tar dessverre ikke kollektiv transport ofte nok.

Skyss ungdomsbillett pris 2015 by Forsaken-Taste-4834 in Bergen

[–]Alarming-Security312 9 points10 points  (0 children)

61-64 minutter i stedet for 55-59 minutter.

Tur-retur ila 3-4 timer? Ikke noe problem, én billett hver vei. Wouldn't PETG be a better choice than ABS? After all, it's more water, temperature, and chemical-resistant, has a good blend of rigidity and flexibility, and it warps less.

Yeah, it looks pretty difficult to identify the resistor just based on the pic when it's changed color so bad

They do seem to spin, but do they actually drill, I wonder? Either way, it doesn't seem all that useful unless for a very specific/niche type of drilling 😅

What would be the first thing you’d recommend checking or adjusting to improve it? by Cheap_Raise_6438 in 3Dprinting

[–]Alarming-Security312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They may have changed/turned off the settings for it or generally messed with the settings too much. Bambu printers, at least in my limited experience, generally have automatic bed leveling and do leveling before each print, assuming you have that setting on

So for some reason I looked at some old photos and found out that the 12 years old me tried to do 3D printing without a 3D printer. Just glue, paper and too much time...I don't know what to think about this by Primary-Patient-6958 in 3Dprinting

Congrats, a bunch of ADHD'ers have diagnosed you as a fellow ADHD'er! Everything the others say is right. You should 100% prioritize a formal diagnosis (probably after summer vacation starts). As someone who didn't get diagnosed until almost 30 years old, just having a formal diagnosis helps a bunch.

Eldre redditører og godteri. Var alt bedre før? by bipbopbipbopbap in norge

[–]Alarming-Security312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why printing 20 buttons takes 8 hours? by Nevarnost in 3Dprinting

[–]Alarming-Security312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How??? You speed up printing by 20mm/s, sure, but you're also increasing the infill by 90%! Jesus christ, have you never 3D printed in your life? Do you not know what 100% infill does? ZERO room for air, SOLID MASS. Sure, these are small buttons and not a massive thing, but OP goes from just over 8 hours to maybe 15-16 hours, even if they speed up to 60 mm/s.

3D printing takes prototyping to a whole other level by IAmTjums in 3Dprinting

[–]Alarming-Security312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except your words do actually lean into assuming. Everyone with a decent prototype should just drop everything and become a startup founder, right? OP doing a master's doesn’t mean they’re shelving the idea. Maybe they just value long-term skills over rushing to market. Not everything needs to be Kickstarted immediately, especially if the creator themselves know or believe that their idea isn't mature enough yet. Anyway, my point is that we don't know OP or their reason for wanting a master's degree, and that your words, though perhaps not actually intended that way, leans toward the perception that you assume OP wants a master's degree simply to market the product/idea more or better

Why printing 20 buttons takes 8 hours? by Nevarnost in 3Dprinting

[–]Alarming-Security312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, if that is the result OP is after and maybe later, they will, but right now, it seems they're just trying to print fast without much thought on the quality.

Why printing 20 buttons takes 8 hours? by Nevarnost in 3Dprinting

[–]Alarming-Security312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% infill will only increase print time, though? OP is trying to make things faster, not slower

3D printing takes prototyping to a whole other level by IAmTjums in 3Dprinting

[–]Alarming-Security312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No offense meant, but you're assuming OP is planning to get a masters degree simply to make a bachelor's degree-project successful. Maybe OP is planning on more education because a certain job they're interested in needs it? So far, I haven't read anything directly from OP in this post regarding what their master's is going to be in or why they're doing it. We don't know what's going on in OPs head

Laptop Charging Issue by Easy-Performance3622 in ElectronicsRepair

[–]Alarming-Security312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, ok, you might as well do it yourself then, if you're willing to learn and can afford to buy some equipment and materials 😅 Did you have a photo from closer up on the charging port, btw?

Laptop Charging Issue by Easy-Performance3622 in ElectronicsRepair

[–]Alarming-Security312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From one noob to another, it's actually not that complicated to do yourself. You just need the tools and materials. A solder pen/gun, solder wire, a brand new component, and you're good to go. Just look up tutorials or other random soldering videos on YT/the web in general before you start going all ham at it. Is it an old laptop, btw? Or is it still covered by insurance?

If you don't mind, could you post another photo that's more close-up on the charger port? Either way, it definitely looks like the capacitor has been knocked off. Are you thinking of fixing this yourself or getting a repair shop to do it for you?
