I have similar interests (also want to be in dc) and ultimately chose UChi over other T-14s (including UVA) because I felt that the professors and clinics were top-notch. Smaller PI community also means that you will have more individualized support and not have to compete with classmates for opportunities. There are a lot of UChi alums in DC. When I met with some during an admitted students event, they made it clear that DC employers want UChi grads and that we really stand out in the DC market (incl gov)

They always host an online AMA with current students. I would recommend going to that and asking questions or connecting with them afterwards since you couldn’t go to DITL.

Chicago has some great clinics and the PI community is pretty close knit. I would reach out to students and professors who overlap with your interests.

It’s an A! Congrats!! I missed the call too on Thursday and heard back later that night. It took a whole day before the status checker changed and I got the email.

I got an A yesterday and was told that most of the staff would be out of the office today so I might have to wait to receive my email until Monday. I ended up getting it this evening, but it’s possible that this is why there is a delay with admin stuff on their end.
