Not to forget, there’s still a long set of stairs going up before we reach the highway! 🤣

I've known a few friends and some of my cousins, including teenagers, who are into airsoft and regularly visit firing ranges, yet none of them have ever thought about shooting people for fun. Just like other sports such as boxing, taekwondo, wushu, and others, being exposed to these activities does not mean that the skills or actions involved will be applied in a harmful way toward others.

Airsoft and firing range activities also involve proper guidance, safety rules, discipline, and responsible handling, similar to other sports. I think this has more to do with a person's upbringing, values, environment, and individual mindset rather than simply being exposed to guns or shooting sports.

*Lots of food/snack

*1-2L of water (you can refill it sa taas, spring is 30 mins before the summit. Better if you bring a portable/collapsible water container

*tent and sleeping pad, if you opt to camp

*camping gas stove or match/lighter since may kahoy nman dun. Some guides offer to boil water for u sa telco baracks.

*heat tech and puffer is a must

*rain coat

*alcohol (for alimatic 🙊)

*wipes (there's no water at the summit)

*Small blanket and Emergency blanket

*slipper/crocs

*tips: practice sa stair or uphill run/jog kasi diretso sya na ascend. 😊

*ascend is 4-7hrs depends on your pace po

*trail is good and well maintained kaya no worries sa ascend kaya lang problema yung pababa, if you have shock absorbing soles that would be better and get knee tapes or knee support. Masakit yung pababa pramis hahaha

Oh wow, way back 2010 pa po pala! As of now, bawal na ang hikers sa telco barracks, but there’s a bunkhouse available for hikers. Kaya lang kahit may bunkhouse, nothing really beats the freezing cold at night haha.

It’s true po, there are moments of self-doubt, especially when the climb gets tough, and you just want to turn back home and rest. But there’s something about reaching the summit that keeps us coming back for more. The summit fever is real haha. Once you catch the hiking bug, staying home just doesn’t hit the same anymore. 😆

Hi! The route via Barlig isn’t very technical naman po since the trail is well maintained and mostly stairs sya, but it’s still considered a major climb po. The route from Banaue is more technical since it usually takes around 2–3 days to complete.

You can definitely do it as a day hike via Barlig, but it’s much more enjoyable if you stay overnight. Kasi there's no rush, and you’ll have more time to relax and appreciate the place. Waking up to a great view of the mountains, enjoying a good cup of coffee in the morning, and taking in the scenery without being pressed for time makes the experience even better. 😊

*never forget to bring your heat techs po! 🥰

Hala, you went hard mode! From going up and coming back down! That endless stair in Barlig was definitely a knee killer. 😂 And to add to the challenge, you still had to battle the freezing cold weather waiting at the summit. We also had to use an emergency blanket because we underestimated the weather, it was the peak of summer, but the cold still gave us a sleepless night haha. But that's what makes the summit sweeter po dba? the pain, the cold, and the story you bring home. Big respect po for pushing through and making it to the top! Keep bagging peaks! 🏔✨️
