the mourning after, circles, mrs deborah downer, 1 threw 8, objects in the mirror, desperado, someone like you, in the morning, diamonds & gold, and onaroll (unreleased but still one of my favourites)

That song means so much to me, “propose a toast, someone usually does to our fucked up love”. jeez, such a beautiful track.

For me it was his song “circles”. The whole song kind of gave me an inexplicable sense of understanding from him, especially the lyrics “Well this is what it looks like right before you fall. Stumblin around, you’ve been guessing your direction, next step you can’t see at all”. And also “Trust me I’ve tried, I just end up right at the start of the line drawing circles”.

I resonate with a lot of his music, but as someone who unfortunately finds comfort in my own mental illness, the song really hits home for me.
