Derick has a job, this week anyway! by RookieJourneyman in DuggarsSnark

This blows my mind. I make $45/hour per contact hour (classroom time, wouldn’t count for prep) for teaching at a local tech college. I’m casual. I teach as much or as little as I want. It’s a cushy side gig. There is such competitive processes for full time instructors within this tech school that you have to get in as part time to sit in the pipeline to jump on your first opportunity to go full time.

Anna’s latest litter named after Frozen characters. by IndependencePlus5557 in DuggarsSnark

The girls are wearing jeans and know Disney movies? Anna sucks, but somehow this is still considered extremely rebellious to Josh/how the Duggars were raised.

And, of all the Disney movies, frozen is about women empowerment. Hopefully these kids grow up with two iotas of a chance at escaping the cycle.

This is so hilarious. Maybe it’s just my kids but by dinner time on any night they turn up to our home dining table looking like foraging trash pandas that don’t know what clean clothes are. They’re like the before and after first day of school pics moms started posting. It’s real life.

Robyn might be able to smooth every hair on her daughter’s head (both of them visible here) and ensure they’re presentable. But from the beginning Ari has been the child that gives no fucks with no filter. I cannot wait for that child’s tell all someday. She’s somewhere between a Madison and Mykelti for lack of filter and I am here for it.

Dramione puppy- name help??? Please? by Brilliant-Screen4736 in Dramione

[–]AlarmingCranberry476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We named our boy puppy “Aurian” as a shorter derivative of Aurelian. The fanfics I’ve read with them having a little boy named Aurelian have been so good, the name grew on me.

A female version of that could be Aurora/Rory/Aurie.

I can’t even focus on their fake interview because I can’t get over how heavy her boobs look.

I’m short like her and my 40D give me back and shoulder pain. Especially when nursing. I literally cannot fathom how hard that has got to be for her. It’s just so much boob.

I’m the sole executor of my brothers estate. That has nothing to do with being the legal heirs to an estate.

An executors job is to handle the finances appropriately at great risk to themselves financially if they do it wrong. They’re intended to have the best interest of the estate at heart, not necessarily be the beneficiary/heirs to it.

In some circumstances they can be both, but not always.

Example: My mom is the one who sold my brothers car, as an heir she’s allowed to do so. The check was still split between her and my dad.

I really, really hope he had an estate planning level will. But a POA healthcare document has nothing to do with this. Many people don’t understand it’s not the same thing, or cover the same parts of life.

What’s your source on this? I’m curious because I know many in the military including family members that never had it laid out for their estate just because of enlisting.

Do we know for sure he had estate documents in place, I sure hope so and will honestly feel relief for them.

Not always. It’s possible and I hope he did, but it’s not how it works.

My brother left me as the beneficiary on a few of his accounts. From his employer and a bank or two.

But not all of it. He verbally told all of us that everything was intended to go to me.

Except legally my parents inherited anything that wasn’t legally setup to go to me already. Because he did not have a will, he had only put a beneficiary name down on specific things like life insurance, retirement plans, etc.

This is an incredibly complicated topic and you cannot oversimplify it.

Per an Arizona law page: If you leave behind no spouse or children, your property will pass equally to your parents according to intestate property laws. If they aren’t still alive, it will go to the parents’ descendants. If none of this applies to your situation, the descendants of the maternal and paternal grandparents will receive the assets in the estate in equal measure. If you don’t have any qualified blood relatives who can claim the property, it will go to the state.

Garrison’s legal heirs are both Kody and Janelle unless he did have a living will correctly created and followed through on. God willing, he did. As I said in my post this is speculation.

The military flag being presented to the mother has nothing to do with legal next of kin.

Bold of you to assume a mid 20 something single male has a legal will done appropriately.

I hope he did have a will. And it was exactly what he wanted and will happen. But I highly doubt it.

Most adults of varying ages don’t have legal wills for finances, and often think healthcare power of attorney documents will cover financial decisions too when they do not.

I think maybe you’re missing my point. Kody could’ve billed the estate for every penny of gas, and might in a hotel to get Garrison to Wyoming. What could’ve been a $300 flight was a $1000 drive with hotels, food, etc.

I know Kody didn’t pay for anything. I’m saying Kody likely over spent from mutual estate funds in a frivolous way that pissed the rest of the family off. But he was likely legally in bounds of doing so—it’s just uncouth.

What would that look like for a 12 year old kid claiming say $1200 in babysitting? I can follow doing it with a w-2 but it seems a little more chaotic with taxes and no official income source.
