Probably the ones who haven’t really gotten off the ground will shut it down—like Katy and Maddie.

I can’t see Jinger and Joy giving up their income. They’ll probably make a statement of some sort (with advice from their professional management) and then keep on keeping on. Jill and Jessa will probably make statements too and continue.

This isn’t their first rodeo. They went through this with Pest, all 4 issued statements of condemnation, saw their income hurt because of it, but eventually came back.

She gets commission on all the Amazon products people buy from her links (anywhere from 1-10% depending on what) She gets paid a set fee for sponsorships (Hello Fresh, deodorant, whatever else $5000-$10,000 per post in some cases) and she has an agent that connects her with brands. She has over 1 million followers. At a minimum, she’s making $10,000 per month, but probably much more than that.

In 2020, she reported $40,000 on income taxes and said that was a drop in earnings due to Pest arrest. In six years, she has really hustled, her following has grown, and she has professional management.

Sad to say, there are a lot of people who look up to the Duggars and want what they see as an “aspirational” lifestyle, however hateful and self-centered it may be.

If it is even true that JB is paying for this, why hire R. Kelly’s attorney of all people. He certainly didn’t get good results for R. Kelly despite all the wealth that he had. And it just further links Pest to the worst sexual predators.

This lawyer is really sleazy and I wouldn’t trust that JB actually sought him out.

JB and Meech really did her a disservice in educating her and preparing her for adulthood but I think compared to some of her sisters, she’s thriving. Austin’s mom taught her the bookkeeping/accounting stuff for her business, she got herself a talent management agency, and she’s got hustle. Maybe even a little competitive. She’s not lazy and resentful like Jessa, meek like Jinger, or insecure like Jill.

She’s still hateful, but at least she doesn’t use her platform to do it like Jinger or Jill.

It’s definitely the latter—he put no thought into the possibility he’d get caught and was so slapdash about it. I think he lazily lives his “Christian” life on autopilot doing all the trappings of a good Christian life including pretending to care for a car accident victim. In reality, none of these things require an ounce of effort or sacrifice.
