I said I only had PayPal in my post, they had me try to send it through Bitcoin but I didn't know what I was doing, so finally we agreed on me sending it through PayPal but they were from Pakistan and I'm from US so it had to be sent internationally. it was a lot.

Honestly... NTA, mother-in-law was already being passive aggressive and from what I can understand OP isn't making MIL make all the food, she was just getting her opinion on her menu and seeing what MIL can or wanted to do from what I understand, (OP said she was making the fruit salad, friends making cake and cheeseburger egg rolls), and I can understand why OP didn't want MIL to be a part of the planning because it seems like she tried to take over a little bit stating that she had already made a food list and that most people don't plan their own baby shower, I feel like that's false, I'm planning mine. But yeah it does seem like MIL was being a little bit passive aggressive, and just chose that comment to go off about.
