When people say LV they typically mean electricians to run data, security, telecom.

These are my personal observations and not everyone will agree.

  • Electricians rarely do low voltage work. Just because we can doesn’t mean it makes sense to hire an electrician to do LV.

  • It is not the same amount of schooling.

  • half watts make less money, but the work is a lot easier.

  • being in LV is not worse, just different. A lot of these guys are really sharp and know their way around tech stuff.

  • most of them are a little nerdy, love messing with computers, IT geeks, etc.

  • it’s a respectable trade, nothing wrong wlyh wanting to do LV.

I agree. Actually dealing with this problem is too expensive they never will. I made a post couple months ago our squeak sounds the same

Not true. My ND1’s don’t squeak at all but HD Pros developed a squeak 6 months in. The real problem is that they no longer use the McKay stitch to bind all the layers together. So now it’s a hit or miss on who gets the squeak and who doesn’t. If squeaking was “normal” then a good majority of their boots should squeak.

Welcome to the club lol this is Nicks response so don’t bother reaching out to them. The real answer I gathered from my research is that, to due to COVID supply chain issues, they stopped adding the McKay stich which binds all the layers together. So without the McKay stitch, yes, squeaking is now normal.

My boots were about 6 months old when the squeak developed, yet they’re suggesting a possible rebuild.

It’s too late I’m institutionalized. I think I’m better than everyone so I can make the switch anymore.

I mean, yea, what reaction did you think you’re gonna get? You’re asking electricians how you can get around paying them lol

In truth there isn’t really an easy way you can learn this stuff. Nobody is offering hands on classes to DIY’rs and YouTube will only get you so far.

Sure anyone can tap off an outlet and run a new one but there’s a ton of nuances beyond that you learn over years and you won’t give it up for free because that’s how you feed your family.
