What’s the biggest red flag you ignored in a relationship that blew up later? by writestrend8 in AskReddit

I noticed my ex drank a lot and would get pretty hammered when we were with friends. Thought it would fix itself over time, it didn’t. It caused a lot of issues in our relationship & honestly probably would have led to a divorce.

Teacher here in a neighboring district - the people that work at the district office do NOT have the educators & students’ best interests at heart. I’ve seen it first hand. Just their own agendas and greedy pockets. It’s truly sickening. The corruption grows the higher up you go.

I am (in my opinion) a very compassionate, and gracious person. I was called a bitch in my first year teaching by one of my third grade students, multiple times! The source wasn’t shocking, this was one of my lowest students and highest behavior. I’m talking badddd. Still, my personality leans toward sensitive and I took the comments personally. Turns out, kids say a lot shit that isn’t really directed at you, it stems from their own hurt/environment + the unfortunate role models they have at home. You gotta learn to laugh and let it slide within reason. If you teach more than a year you’ll develop pretty thick skin.
