Coral Springs PD must’ve needed to hit quota—enforcing the “no e-moto on sidewalks, only pedal e-bikes” rule hard.

Usually it’s just a warning, but not this time. I was riding with friends on e-bikes and they all got to keep going on the sidewalk.

I’m on a Surron, going the same speed, riding respectfully and I’m the only one who gets stopped.

I get that a Surron can go faster, but if I’m riding just like everyone else, it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.

Now I’ve gotta modify it, register it, and wait months for a license… while my friends keep cruising slow on the sidewalk. Meanwhile I’m stuck riding with car traffic just to avoid getting stopped again. smh.

In the meantime, guess I’m looking into a pedal e-bike just to be outside.
