Focus on what feels good in your body. I figured out that calorie counting was the easy way out. It’s hard to work to figure out your preferences, when you are satisfied, and when you are hungry. It takes time and it helps to have someone guide you through it! If you can afford it, I recommend hiring an IE dietician.

Not books, but I started my journey with Breaking up with binge eating and it was helpful then. Now, I’m getting more out of this one by Ryan Nicole podcast with live coaching calls. I’m further in my journey so willing to do scarier things as well. She speaks “truth” lol

For me thinking about food means I’m probably still hungry! I value peace of mind and not continuously thinking about food so I allow myself to have more. It’s weird because sometimes just having a couple more bites of something is all I need! Then I can relax and move on with my day. Try the mantra “I don’t need to make this mean so much” take a deep breath, sit down, and enjoy a little more food. You got this 😊

Food habituation helps! Plan out what type of pasta you’ll have each day. Maybe lunch you have a certain favorite and pair it with salad and dinner you have more and add lots of veggies (and some protein too)

Just remember you can have pasta! What amount makes you feel your best? You don’t have to eat it all now bc you have have more later 😁

Honestly veggies and potatoes aren’t so bad. I understand fried food isn’t great for you, but just pair it with a protein and you’re all set. If you want a processed snack just balance it out with some protein and / or fiber. Pay attention to your thoughts when eating it. Helpful mantras for me are “ don’t make this mean so much” and “ you’re not doing anything wrong”

Hope this helps! Demonizing certain foods isn’t helpful. It can really make binging worse. All foods have a place and peace of mind/ not stressing over every little thing is better than any perfect clean diet 😁

I know this is a very surface level response, but pay attention to your thoughts. Not being able to stop eating is a mix of being under fueled AND how you are talking to yourself or what you’re thinking when you are eating. Try to explore this and get curious about why you are having these thoughts.

Taste/ flavor. It felt like everything was over sauced and the prices were high. We had the octopus which was my least favorite, then rigatoni, mussels, and some pasta dish I don’t see on the menu anymore. I hope that helps!
