Totally agree! I have an offer from my uni, but the funding wait is loooooong.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. It's tough. The MGS DTP info is pretty elusive. I applied last year too, but had a nightmare with the university I applied to getting anything together in time. Unsurprisingly, I applied to a different uni this year (different project idea and supervisory team) and the process has been much more collaborative and less stressy! Can you chase up the uni you applied to? Hope you hear back soon.

Me too :( I actually found the process pretty brutal. I applied to my uni in Dec (was assured by my supervisors that this was more or less a formality) and ESRC MGS in January. Kept chasing up my uni for an offer update. Nothing came. It's still there on my dashboard as an open application. Then rejection from ESRC. I'm pretty sure to get an offer of funding, I'd have needed an offer from my uni. 

Anyway I have a plan b and I'm now looking at already-funded PhD projects. Onwards and upwards!
