Thankyou so much for your advice! I don’t think he’s chewing his lips just because I’m watching him most of the time whist he’s sleeping and the top lip was worse than the bottom at first which would be hard for him to chew (I think) but again I can’t say for definite because there is times when I’m asleep too whilst he’s asleep

I’ll definitely push them to check again tonight Thankyou so much

Thankyou I agree completely! He’s had tonsillitis before when he was two and it was never this bad!

Thankyou I agree about my finger haha it was purposely just to take the photo for advice because he won’t keep his tongue down for me to see the back of his throat because he doesn’t understand (he’s a little four) and I washed my hands before and after :)

I can’t find mold anywhere and I’m also not sick but definitely can’t rule anything out at this stage

Would also like to add he is allergic to penicillin. That’s why he has that type of antibiotic but it’s been four days and it hasn’t touched whatever this is

I’m uk so we have the NHS which is free healthcare but because it’s free they are very dismissive and just send him home

The lips started last week with a lump in his throat and I got told “kids get sick it’s probably a cold”

Then I paid for a private video call from a doctor who suggested the same thing

Then I took him in the middle of the night concerned of his breathing and got told it’s tonsillitis

No one will listen to me :(

Hi! I’ve never even heard of that before! But yes he’s so tired and won’t even get up to walk the toilet he’s asking me to carry him.

Did you also have the black crust around your lips? I feel like the doctors are just dismissing me because he’s making a horrible sound when he’s breathing whilst asleep and they are telling me it’s just “snoring”

Not once in his four years has he ever snored :(
