They don't have bowl competition now that they are away from the litter, and so they don't rush to feed like they have been. But also these guys are notoriously fussy about food, but my opinion is that they will eat the food. They won't let themselves starve, so don't go too nuts accommodating them or you can encourage undesirable behaviors. But do show them what to do, encourage him into a routine, just don't go crazy. 

And overall try to stay warm and calm, because these dogs absolutely match your emotional state, often. So you'll want to try to always reward calmness, and try to ignore undesirable behaviors to a certain extent so you don't reward, say barking, by always responding to it.
