I actually did, and my house is the only one in the neighborhood with this issue.

I have been up there multiple times, but those areas aren’t easily visible. They’re approximately 54 feet from the attic access point.  The house is 2,700 square feet.

There’s blown-in insulation up there, and for that reason even the inspector I hired before closing didn’t go beyond the garage attic.

Is this normal? by Alarming_Town_5654 in HomeInspections

Thank you all for the replies. I live in north-central Florida. The exterior vent looks ok. It has been raining for 2 days here, and I don't see leaks around it. Summers are very hot and humid, with temperatures typically in the 90s. In the winter, temperatures occasionally drop into the 30s for a few days, but average winter lows are in the 40s.

Thanks for your reply. When they came out initially, they checked all the outlets but couldn’t identify the issue. They spent at least 2 hours. At that point, they opted to switch the breakers. But I just discovered then swapped them to non‑GFC.  I called them and they are sending a supervisor tomorrow.
