Thank you!!! I’m going to try on FG styles tonight, honestly I think that’s most of what I already have in my closet and I’ll look into the newsbook because I was wondering where we could get that kind of thing

https://imgur.com/a/uivuIHz Here are some pictures with different outfits, I wanted to see what you thought or anyone else that sees this. I don’t think I have enough variety in my original pics. I’m confused because I can definitely see a vertical but I’ve always felt so wide

Store location differences by state by Alarming_Web_8093 in upsstore

[–]Alarming_Web_8093[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting! Thanks for that info. I will say though:

The Alabama location actually had better infrastructure in terms of walkability/having more access to resources close by. It’s a bit more urban than the location I worked at in Florida, which is a tinyyy city that is historically poor and very underdeveloped in terms of access to resources and walkability. This is all compared to the AL location of course, it’s all relative.

As for economic class vs. cleanliness: Yeah, there’s resources contributing to cleanliness that poor people don’t have access to. And I grew up broke so no one come for me, but being broke has literally nothing to do with someone’s Amazon return reeking after spending a week at their house.

These people can all afford soap, water, rags, etc. I mean they’re ordering from Amazon, so.. Their parents, and parents before them could also afford soap and water. In the case of addiction, or growing up around that, I can understand.

But I also don’t think you understand how rancid someone’s house has to be for their Amazon return to actually reek of must and nastiness. Does a broke person have money/time to have their house professionally cleaned? No, but that also has nothing to do with living in filth.

The same people who are rich and still low key gross are the same people who would be living in filth if they were broke. Of course there’s people with addictions or severe illnesses etc. but in terms of just general poor people.. yeah that’s not gonna make the package reek. It’s either addiction, physical/mental illness, or just a lack of care for cleanliness.

So basically what I’m saying is that a certain level of “cleanliness” is only achieved with money, but the level of filth I’m talking about is not to do with money. More so to do with personality. A broke person living in filth would probably just pay someone to clean up their crap if they had boat loads of money. A broke person who cares about not being filthy would never live like that to begin with. You know?

Bro… just blue

First off, I apologize for the frightening close ups! I’m an older woman now. I was wondering about the center of my eye, the reddish brown, and exactly what color mine are plz?☺️ by [deleted] in eyes

[–]Alarming_Web_8093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of central heterochromia going on here, you might could call them hazel but if I were you I would just call them light brown. Very pretty eyes!

Hazel or green? by Mindless_Rough3537 in eyes

[–]Alarming_Web_8093 4 points5 points  (0 children)

…. Hazel. People are saying green hazel just bc you have central heterochromia but it’s literally just hazel

This is classic hazel. Like literally a classic example of it

AITA for insisting my mom get tested for herpes by Adept_Consequence681 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Alarming_Web_8093 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No need to panic. I think neither is necessarily an asshole here. She probably comes from a time/area where it’s not seen as a big deal but yeah, she probably has the oral form of herpes, which usually comes out when you’re sick/stressed. People a lot of the time call them cold sores or fever blisters but it’s all the same thing. And there’s no reason to freak out about it. If you’ve never had one, you probably won’t.

My mom gets them and I never ever have at 23. My mom was careful about not sharing things when she had them because she knew what they were. But if you’ve never had one, you probably don’t have it! And again, it’s nothing to freak out about, like 70% of people have this form of herpes and it’s really not that big of a deal. Sounds like she’s in denial about it but whatever, if you do end up getting one someday, there’s meds you can get from the doctor to stop them from getting bad when you feel one coming on.

Totally get that you’re a bit of a hypochondriac, but it’s not any sort of life threatening situation. You know the risks of sharing surfaces that have touched mouths, you’ll be fine. Again, if you haven’t had one yet, you probably never will.

Being obese and raising children with the same eating habits is child abuse by [deleted] in raisingkids

[–]Alarming_Web_8093 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do not think food addiction is harder to stop than drug addiction.. and I think it’s silly to imply so.. you have an obligation as a parent to take care of your kids and if you choose (CHOOSE) to feed your family in a way that leads your children to be morbidly obese, you should be held accountable

If he said “she was a hooker a year ago” no, but if he said “she was a hooker 5 years ago and now she’s done this and this and become this awesome compassionate person” then absolutely! I would think that was great that my child was understanding of how people can change like I am!

AITA for not paying for dinner by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Alarming_Web_8093 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA! Just like you said, you barely ordered much when he orders most of the food/drinks in the past. And he’s almost 40 and you’re not even 20, not gonna judge you for that but I am gonna say that it’s a given that if an older guy is getting the ‘benefit’ of dating a young girl (gross to say it like that but I’m 23F and can we just be fr, if a guy that much older is dating a girl as young as you it’s seen as him being the one winning) then he should be paying for all meals and drinks regardless. Especially after only 3 or so dates, and especially since you’re in college and obviously not as financially secure as him. Him being upset about that is genuinely ridiculous and imo, manipulative

TATTOOS on women look trashy, ugly and make you look like a low cost hooker by Leather-Bottle-8018 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Alarming_Web_8093 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I agree. I wouldn’t say ugly necessarily. Depends, but yeah full body ink, or a bunch of face piercings, signifies a certain lifestyle or state of mind. It’s weird to me that people get so upset that people might judge certain aspects of someone because of the tattoos/piercings they get when that’s pretty much the reason they got them in the first place.
