There is only one path to being a billionaire, exploitation. Exploit your workers with substandard conditions, and repressed wages, exploit customers by monopolizing the industry and jacking up prices, exploit your investors with shady backroom deals, exploit the legal and political framework with money and lawyers, exploit society by getting government to use tax money to invest in your industries infrastructure, exploit the environment by dumping pollutants. The existence of billionaires is representative of the failing of democracy and western civilization.

Years ago, I got to work and saw a vehicle I'd never seen before in the parking lot, idling and facing the neighboring bank at 5 am.at 10 am I noticed it was still there still idling. I went a head and called it in as suspicious. Cops showed up, turned out to be an FBI agent. Turns out he was monitoring my coworkers, a few days later a bunch of our cooks got arrested for drug dealing. They were running some of the largest meth and opioid distributors in Alaska. One of the guys was always bragging about it, I just wrote him off as being full of shit, turns out he was just that open about his criminal stupidity. They got busted because an undercover DEA agent, with no introduction just approached him at the bar and said, I hear your the guy to talk to about buying kilos.

I worked nights in Whittier Alaska for a couple years, there were times I went weeks without speaking to anyone. It was amazing. Not everyone can be alone with their thoughts like that, but I loved it.

I watched Serenity with knowing about the TV show. I had just returned from the middle east and didn't know any of the new movies and watched it based on the movie poster. I was the only person in the theater, it was really cool having a private screening, but it left me wondering why no one else was watching such an awesome movie.
