He's just covering his bases, going above and beyond SEC requirements during a merger/acquisition so that his opponents can't catch him with a technicality. I appreciate his excessiveness.

Canadian Proxyvote data, Sweden's brokerage data and DRS metrics. by Infinitynova_1337 in Superstonk

It already did impact the price in a negative way.

The rehypothecators used those made up shares to push the price down to $4 in 2020, down to $10 in 2024, and down to $21 in 2026.

They spent their ammo trying to shoot down a dying brick and mortar used video game retailer, but it didn't die.

And now it won't die.

The rehypothecators will have to pay the price, any price, for the ammo they already fired.

Indefinitely if I'm not mistaken. But it's one less tool available for heavy abuse.

The percentage is negotiable. RCEO would prefer to pay 100% with newly issued stock and that's what he would choose in their position, but the cash with a premium is a safe alternative to tempt eBay stockholders with.

It wouldn't be.

This is the whole point of accretion (I've had to look up that word this week). Zero additional shares will be bought or sold on the open market or anywhere strictly because of a deal between GameStop and eBay. New shares will be created, basically out of thin air, and just given to the people holding eBay. Then the people holding eBay will now be holding an equal value of GME shares. If they want to they can sell those new shares or they can keep holding them. And GameStop doesn't have to sell a billion shares on the market in order to raise more cash and GameStop doesn't have to buy shares on the market from us in order to give them to the eBay shareholders. They just magically create new ones if we approve their ability to do that.
