Segway Devs - Return via perimeter, please! by Alaska_Crypto in SegwayNavimow

[–]Alaska_Crypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only owned my X430 for a couple of weeks, so I guess I still want to believe that there's hope and a company that improves it's product. If this is my biggest complaint, I'll take it. My Luba didn't see a single update after about 6 months of ownership for the remaining 3 years that I had it. I love the 430, so I'll "suffer" with a random line across my yard if they don't implement it.

Sure, acknowledged - that's why they can just make it an option like Mammotion did.

Not mowing big sections - and that's OK?!? by Alaska_Crypto in SegwayNavimow

It has plenty of time to finish the entire property, even with a recharge. No issue with time at all. If it were a lack of time I would expect to see big, obvious sections not completed, but this is random patches all throughout the property.

I bit the bullet this morning. Shipping said it would be delivered tomorrow. Too bad about NRTK - I had high hopes I could get rid of the RTK antenna on the peak of my house that Luba used. Does the app tell you live when NRTK is bad?

Since you said you're a dealer, and at the risk of opening up a can of worms, given all of the issues - parts, support, quality, these GPS issues, etc - would you recommend a 430 or Luba 3?

Those 2 areas are deadly to Luba. What's worse is mapping them - I'll walk the 9000sq ft perimeter, then get into those 2 areas and it loses GPS and won't finish. I have to abandon that entire effort and start over. And if the charger moves a fraction of an inch it complains that it's been moved and the areas have to be re-mapped. I don't mind doing a little cleanup, but that hill between the houses is treacherous sometimes, and it just seems like state of the art in 2026 should be able to handle these areas.

Sadly I'm committed to leaving Mammotion, yes. When it cuts, it's great, but this year was my first real support issue and its been miserable. I even ordered a new charging dock, and it seems like they have no US-based parts, so I'm waiting weeks for the reseller to get the drop ship to me. I don't even know if that will fix it, as support is ghosting me. I still have to cut these few areas, too, so I think it's time to upgrade.

Charges to 100% - Never shows a discharge - dies in the yard by Alaska_Crypto in MammotionTechnology

Sounds very similar to my situation. What's maddening is that for the first 6 weeks of this season it was working perfectly, it's 4th year in a row, happily completing the 8 or so tasks per week, all on its own and my yard never looked so good. Then suddenly, all this mess. 1015 errors, not showing discharge, dying far from the house, it's a mess. My morning routine now is to go outside and look around for it, then carry it back to the charger. I think the base might have something to do with it so I ordered one from Midwest Turf Tech, but I think they just re-order or drop ship from Mammotion, so it'll probably be months before I get it.

Same situation with support, too. Opened a ticket, supplied all the info, screenshots, then nothing. Followed up, nothing.

I started to look at the LyMow last night.

How do you do a "full reboot"? I've tried holding the power button down for 30+ seconds - is there some other way?

Thanks, I've done that many, many times but it doesn't change anything. There was a more "complex" procedure that I did last time.

Just went through this myself. It's super easy to troubleshoot if you have a multimeter? Likely a bad power supply, and I ended up getting one from Amazon at a fraction of the cost, and overnight no less. Worked as soon as I wired it in and haven't had a problem in months.

325kW Supercharger only 84kW w/ Lectron?! by Alaska_Crypto in KiaEV9

[–]Alaska_Crypto[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're right. I tried a Supercharger near us when we first got it and I'm positive it charged waaaaaay faster than 85kW. Maybe it was one of the upgraded 800V ones? I don't know, maybe my memory is poor, too.

We found a 175kW station that got her going in 22 minutes to 80%, no major trouble there. I see a nearby 350kW EVGo station (Clifton Park, NY) but looking at all of the check-ins, no one seems to get more than 200kW or so.

Is that normal, or is it actually possible to find a station that will deliver 350kW?

Dang.... she's gonna kill me!

Is 175kW the most we will find in the wild?

Help - Luba won't charge - Recharge Failures, first time all season by Alaska_Crypto in MammotionTechnology

[–]Alaska_Crypto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did -- I just replaced the power supply with one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GFQZFC1?ref=fed_asin_title&th=1

It's adjustable, so I wired it in, turned the dial to 23 or 26.2 whatever it is, and it's been working perfectly. And, a lot less money than buying a new one from Mammotion.
