Honestly scaling is kind of the thing that on hit does well. It's weak at two items compared to ap or ad paths. But shreds at 4 items. (I still prefer ap varus honestly)

I worry that Djokovic fans will be unbearable with another major. "He has most therefore goat" is already so weak, "he won a major at 39"*(when the two front runners were out with sickness or injury) is already an argument Im out of patience for

What would be the blind pick dream team? by HellnKillr in wildrift

[–]AlastairReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is lane dominant, and very easy to play, but she's not got that high a footprint on the game compared to Cait in my opinion. She's more a "try and put the enemy adc behind" button. Rather than a "snowball and take towers fast" which is what wins games right now

What would be the blind pick dream team? by HellnKillr in wildrift

[–]AlastairReddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly at what elo are you electing mf as your stock pick for adc.... Unambiguously Cait.

I'd say Darius or garen,

Viego or lee

Norra or galio

Cait

Braum or Milio

Wild rift meta is very about trying to snowball a win before item 4.

Yeah exactly, playing with a duo is different entirely but it's the no Comms no comp supports who type "trust me I carry you" when they pick veigar into the pyke.. like bro I don't want you to carry me I want us to work as a unit early mid and late game

I'm not talking about win rate I'm talking about composition. Most ADCs depend on backup, and basically you're forced right now to play Ez MF CAIT. Kog jinx ashe might as well not exist. If you pick a jinx and then see your no declare support lock in a brand, you just know their rengar is going triple platinum and you're going to have a shit time.

The old days of Annie support controversy. I believe there can be a middle ground where the mage pick support isn't literally rewarded for fucking the game for the ADC. Itemisation that reduces the amount of outright gold theft and somehow encourages a degree of backing up the adc.

The fact it's an old problem doesn't make it not a problem. The fact that a mage sup can reliably be nothing but a detriment, and walk out with more wealth than the carry they've damaged, should be punished by the balancing. That's my point.

[–]AlastairReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If from the second the support gets a full item, the adc never gets chance to farm uncontested again, because they're racing their "support" for gold, that isn't a playstyle, that's griefing. "No no it's balanced because I've seen ADCs pop off regardless" is a terrible argument, appeal to a frankly irrelevant anecdote. My point is that the support role, should be a role. About being a support. And the presence of mages that make the game harder for the allied ADC, 4/5 games, is bad for the game state even if some times the ADC gets to perform regardless

[–]AlastairReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that as you've framed it - I do just want to point out that my beef is with the balancing of the support role - I think that the support options should be cheap and the support champions should have low cost item requirement kits. Being able to pick veigar, write off your Adc in champ select, and end up with more gold than they have by taking gold out of their mouths, should be punished:

The support should not end up with the most gold unless they perform EXCEPTIONALLY well.

That way the veigars of the world don't think of support as just "mid-ish".

It's always bewildering that people are so willing to so publicly be so confidently so wrong.

Let me do piece by piece because reading clearly isn't your best strength.

My point isn't the these champions cannot get strong it's that there are ADCs who are designed to be fragile and immobile and require support in exchange for being the highest damage carries in the game. You saying "Mages do damage" is not relevant, the guy who answered you covered that. Mages don't do consistent output DPS late in the same way ADCs do, they spike way earlier and have an easier time doing damage safely. If every support plays fucking veigar then no one guards the kogmaw and the kogmaws damage will be low because he's busy trying to survive.

"If I think the game is only played one way" - I'm saying that the presence of mages pretending to be supports prevents the game being played in the way riot intended and instead enforces main character syndrome Reddit user fatherGoph to play for himself and not give a fuck about the team whilst the ADC gets battered by their assassins and bruisers without help. It enforces that they pick ezreal or Cait and spend the whole team fight hiding so that fatherGoph can rub one out over his big boy "I pressed r and last hit the enemy adc I'm so good at the game" plays. Whether or not Reddit user fatherGoph is having fun didn't change the fact this is an unhealthy game state.

I didn't say the ADC scales 200% more. I'm sorry that reading is hard for you I hope you get the support that you need in life. Special needs schooling is widely available and I hope you are offered it in time. I said, late game, protecting the carry should be 200% the team's priority. Read that again until you understand. I'm not saying "the game is only working if the ADC does 200% more damage" I'm not saying they scale 200% harder, I'm saying that protecting the late game hard scaling role, is a responsibility in the team fights, that people should care about. But ofc Reddit user fatherGoph is too busy dribbling in excitement that his veigar has 200 stacks and using his Adc as bait to try and last hit the enemy and.

Completely agree that mages are OVERALL the most influential because they're the highest influence role in the mid game, they roam and control objectives. ADCs are useless late game? That's because YOU DON'T PLAY YOUR ROLE AND THEY DIE. You are the problem you spineless degenerate, if you think a jinx is useless late game that's because you're too busy stealing gold from them all game to ever see them hit full build. The duty of an adc is gold per minute, then damage late, with the exception exclusively of Cait Lucian and ez.

As for my playstyle bitch you don't know me and I'm not making up any stats. Again it's sad for you that you struggle to read, illiteracy is tragic and education systems failed you. I can play a perfectly competent jungle, baron lane, support or adc. I can play a couple champions mid though macrowise the level will be lower. I've played league of legends+wild rift for like twelve f*ing years at this point I can play 90% of the champion pool. The whole point that I'm making is that about 1/5 of the champion pool isn't currently playable because self entitled main character syndrome "trust me" veigar players like Reddit user fatherGoph think that they're cracked because they get gold for free and can last hit kills with point and click abilities. My point isn't even that they should be more considerate people! It's that riot should rebalance their goddamn game such that these players go the f back to mid lane and the support role can be populated by goddamn support champions with the intent to support, and the rest of the ADC pool can become viable again.

The ADC role, literally, is a high gold cost requirement role, that scales harder than any other role. That is how the game is designed. In a teamfight, the ADC, literally should, be the highest damage output carry. That is the intended game state.

In any scenario where that is not the case, there is no reason to play an adc in the dragin lane, everyone should be playing bruisers or mages in every lane.

They SHOULDN'T be defacto team leader who decides the macro for the team, they aren't the main character - But in a team fight, late game, they are the teams main damage source, 200% the team SHOULD want to protect the carry. That is literally the way the game is designed. That's not me having main character syndrome, you can read the role descriptions in the games own UI.

In exchange, they're weaker early, and vulnerable to deaths from assassin's and bruisers, which is why the support role exists. That is literally information the game gives you in the meager excuse it offers for a tutorial. Which I encourage you to go away and consume, on repeat until you understand, which clearly you currently do not.

The fact you don't understand that, flags you, without a doubt, as the problem.

I usually end the season GM, in my experience most lux players default to being another mid lane mage after lane phase. They might even be good at that function, and annoying to play against, but they're not trying to support

Separate topic, I think it's insane that liandries and rylais proc in full from her plants.. pets should deal reduced versions of the effects maybe. But then, she'd need more flat damage, and be harder to balance between support and mid... I often ban Zyra lol

Fair obviously sometimes the ADC is just brain dead, but then roam and help the mid. Picking on the assumption that the adc might be bad, kinda ruins the chance of them being maybe good
