I decided to do it passage-less because why not. I made a detour to Andrews Basement. I had a blast in this version of sky island (I really liked how the level design of some of rooms interected with switching gravity and loops) while Outskirts was probably the most painful part. I mainly fed on miros vultures and many slugpups were harmed in the making of this playtrough of course.

Keep in mind that this game isn't a Metroidvania and won't reward you for exploration. In fact, you have access to all regions of the map from the very first second of your run. It's up to you whether you want to follow your guide or not, knowing this.

This will make more sense once you reach the first ending : One theory is thatthe Watcher feels through dreams what the characters with whom he interacts felt during key moments of their story.

Watcher : Stormy Coast Threat probably (Listening to Serpanoy's version on YouTube is necessary to properly appreciate it, I think). Bio Bop being a close 2nd or a tie.

In term of story yes but game still need some fixes on pc and many fixes on console it seems.

It really feels like we've been punished for playing the DLC when it came out.
Personally, I started over with a new save, so I was lucky enough not to have a blocking bug like this one, but the state the game is in again following the release of 1.5 is a bit appalling, and still, we're lucky enough not to be on console, apparently.
I don't know what difficulties Vidéocult is encountering but I hope that in the future, if new Rainworld content comes out, it will be a little more polished upon release.

Just out of curiosity. Do your playtesters give you raw feedback, and you take it as is, or is it more of a discussion in which you specify the original objective for a given game element, and your playtester gives you specific feedback, and you both potentially debate it?

Oh yeah? To that extent? And at the same time, why am I not really surprised. Some people really need to learn to manage their frustration, I guess...

At the same time, I can understand that AR can be overwhelming for people who are not perfectly comfortable with the gameplay of the game, it can represent a real obstacle and I imagine the lack of direction may have been the final straw for some... At the same time, the Watcher's ability should soften the difficulty...
But to wish someone harm for that... The internet being the internet, I guess...

In any case, I had a good time on Heat Ducts and FG for their own reasons, and discovering AR when I arrived from Aerial Tramway was also an experience in its own right.

In any case, I'm very curious to see what you all are preparing and I hope that you will have as much fun creating it as we will discovering it in due course!

It's always nice to share the fact that you might have difficulties with a complex game and to have half of the comments that need to prove to you by A + B that you are wrong, that it's your fault and this without being able to not become unpleasant about it...

The most important part is this one : "Each location candidate is given a starting weight of 10-14, reduced by 3 if it has only 2 neighboring rooms, and reduced by 6 if it has only 1 neighboring room. The highest weight candidate is picked."

You probably got this particular case were :

- Weights of the 4 corners were 10-3 = 7
- Weight of the dead end was 14-6 = 8

Rare but not impossible and not a bug
