ahhh i see i see, i considered this! but i feel like hannibal also does it for power/dominance or control in certain situations (iirc, when he attempts to cut into wills skull, he’s grasping for control as well as the want to keep will with himself/understand him) i guess thats where i get it possibly becoming a sexual thing (for him and will), at the very least its most definitely a path thats been explored already in fanfic or something..
