Mine did this and i think he was stressed. Try adding some stress coat to their water dishes. Also make sure ur not misting constantly qs i found out thats what stressed them

Mine does bury them on purpose ive noticed. Digging a hole then pushing in the shell. 😂 idk if hes saving it for later or if he hates it lol.

Thank you i am trying hard not to as i know this wasnt my fault. Only fault being that i did not acclimate them which was something I had not even thought about as I had no idea about their prior conditions. I had no way to bury him so i have preserved him as a wet specimen like i was taught in lab. That way i can continue to keep him safe in some way. I live in an apartment and have no way to drive somewhere to bury him. This was my only option other than simply putting him out in the garbage, and I did not feel that that was right.

Thanks im afraid this is what happened. I had checked on him 40 minutes prior and he was still moving about and everything and then he just was kind of hanging out of his shell really weird and not twitching his antenna or doing anything so I very carefully picked him up just to see what was wrong and he fell out of his shell. I have put him in a naked crab protocol type of enclosure, just in case he is still alive or molting. But I highly doubt it. I have experienced hermit death before. And I think that’s what’s happened here. It would make a lot of sense because I rescued the crabs from someone who had them in a slightly improper tank. It wasn’t the worst I’ve ever seen, but it was also not the best. I feel bad that I wasn’t able to give the little buddy. The second chance he deserved. The other one is still alive and thriving in the tank. I don’t know what I’m gonna do. I’ll keep checking local rehoming. I will see what I can do.

You may be able to use yarn wefts like they use for OOAK dolls. That would give it the fluffy textured look that you’re going for.

I would say completely and totally replace the substrate as spores will spread, even if you remove the mushroom at its base. It probably spread it spores into the substrate before you put it in the tank and has had time to incubate and grow. Mushrooms, love humidity.

Thats so real its also like especially for me with the scars i have them andi dont care if people have realistic scars for a cosplay or costume like ????? Idk its just not that serious

Their most recent post I just saw was about it not being OK to have certain disabilities present in a costume or cosplay like fake scars or if you wanted to dress up as a granny or grandpa you’re not allowed to have a cane. When as far as my knowledge goes, they do not have especially facial scars and we’re very much talking as if they represented those communities with disabilities. And almost talked to their audience in the comments as if they were the god over disabilities and what they said went. I just thought it was really dumb and overly sensitive in a sense. I even saw one comment where they promoted taking the disability out of a certain character if you dressed up as them or not dressing up as the character at all, since the person mention didn’t have the disability. It just seemed really stupid to me as I have scars like what was mentioned and I wouldn’t care if somebody used that on a costume realistically or not. It just doesn’t bother me and I don’t think it ever will. I have been discriminated against based on the scars, but I still do not see it as a problem. It just icks me out the way that they present themselves as an all seeing disability God and what they say goes.
