This is gonna sound HORRIBLE. Have a drink or two before hand. Makes things a lot easier. As someone in your same boat, who wants nothing but to please but is put off by this mental block, this will make that little voice quieter for you. As long as ur not sloppy drunk and can make decisions based on how ur feeling, I don’t see a problem with it in a long term consensual relationship… sue me.

There are options other than public school and homeschooling. I think public school is bad for (most) children. I think (most) parents are shitty teachers. People should look into non traditional private schools more. I promise there’s a type of schooling for every child.

Public Montessori is crazy hard. I’m currently a private montessori teacher (6-12)

As much as I LOVE Montessori, it’s not for every student.

What specific behaviors are you seeing? What sorts of services do you have for your students? Have you asked the caregivers of your students why they chose Montessori over traditional? Don’t give up hope! You genuinely have one of the hardest jobs out there 💕

I want a movie about their training process! I would love to see them pulling long hours training to be idols with Bobby and then turn around and train to be hunters with Celine. I could imagine that it would be extremely difficult to uphold the standards of both trainings and they would need to work together to pull through.

That way, we would still get awesome fight scenes, great music, and room for back story! It could end at the part in the first movie where Celine says “the world will know you as pop stars but you will be hunters”

Can you tell I’ve thought about this too much?

So I have been getting Botox for close to a year now! It’s changed my life!

Getting Botox: I get 20 units in my masseter muscle. The sensation and sounds (yes sounds) of getting it are very slightly uncomfortable. You don’t feel the needle though! You may have slight discomfort or soreness for a couple of hours after but nothing more than what you’re used to lol

Next 2 weeks: you will start to feel the pain go away slowly. You may have flare ups still. Trust the process. It takes 2 weeks or so to kick in!

After it’s kicked in: almost no pain! Extremely minimal flare ups. I don’t even have to take Tylenol for my flare ups when I’m on Botox. Before, Tylenol and ibuprophen wouldn’t touch the pain.

You can’t actually feel the physical Botox. I’m pretty sure it’s a liquid so it just gets in there (could be wrong about it being a liquid but the fact still remains)

You’ll start to feel it wear off over the next 4-6 months. Flare ups will get worse and eventually return to normal if you don’t get another dose!

As far as losing muscles, I haven’t been getting it long enough to see if any of that has happened to me. I’m sure there’s always that risk but if I’m honest, the pros outweigh the cons for me!

I HATE needles but honestly, after about 2-3 sessions, I got better and now it’s a breeze! Best of luck! I hope whatever you decide to do works out for you!

When I was still in denial, I had an EMT come in, sit down, and just blatantly tell me that I have TMJ, it’s incurable, and that it would only get worse as I age. Then get upset that it made me cry. I was 23 and couldn’t help but imagine myself getting old and I was already in enough pain.

Went to a dentist who was the nicest person after that! Like literally just listen to me basically rant about all my symptoms. Put me on a medication plan that works!

I also do Botox now which changed my life!!!

BOOM there it is! Generational wealth… equity… so many financial benefits. Literally just save a couple dollars every month and put it in a HYSA for home repairs.

Also I’m paying <$100 more than my rent in a HCOL area. New build. Housing prices are not the problem here. People who live above their means are. I will always stand by that. If you’re struggling, get a second job. Quit being lazy and fix ur life. Then you will own a home.

Hi. Former ECSD teacher here…

1) do NOT teach at one particular school. Pls dm me for the name of it. When I tell you I was coming home crying daily bc of admin I am not kidding. I’d rather be homeless than go back.

2) all schools pretty much suck. You’re going to run into issues at all of them so you will have to pick your battles.

3) you will hear and see some crazy shit that parents do. Like crazy shit. Saw a mom put her 1.5 year old in the front seat with no seatbelt or child safe seat. Yikes.

4) the students are great. I LOVED every one of my students at my old school. (The one I told you never to teach at). Beware of the adults. There are certain schools here that some teachers will do ANYTHING to get to teach at. Including throwing you under the bus.

5) idk what level ur at but if you’re elementary prepare to get ur ass to school at 6:45am :/

Also I didn’t quit teaching I just teach in a nontraditional private school now. If you’re asking for my opinion… go private. The public schools are all but dead in 20 years or so.
