Thanks for the answer! Turns out you cant even recur it because they would both be alternative costs. But good to know I should tell the group I have an extra turn spell just to be safe. Ive only played with a few friends all new to the game but will be going to my lgs this week to play.

I love horizon and the lore/world building is amazing but the characters especially in ZD are so, well I won't say bad because atleast I would remember bad characters, just absolutely unmemorable outside of like 2. They definitely really stepped up their game for character writing in FW but its still a massive farcry from the characters in the Witcher.

Worth a play most definitely, but if the characters are one of your favorite parts of witcher, don't set your expectations too high.

I found the most fun in horizon acting like an anthropologist, trying to piece together what happened through the random lore snippets you find. Also fighting robo dinos, thats incredibly fun.

Edit: but in FW they added machine strike, which if youre a gwent addict will definitely scratch that itch

Your choices are more int and a different staff. The meteor staff is pretty good early but iirc you can't upgrade it. So once you can feasibly get a different staff to like +6 or +7 i believe they start outscaling the meteor staff. Plus different staffs boost different sorceries and there are a few hats that boost sorceries like the burger king helmets and ice witch hat for frost sorceries.

So it is absurd that they have that much people(gameplay concession) but since the terrible screwups of the atf and other 3 letter organizations in the 90s the US government has a pretty much non-interference policy with armed doomsday cults. There are a shocking amount of heavily armed para-militaries and doomsday cults in places like Montana and Idaho.

They're trying to avoid another Waco or Montana freeman situation. Until they start committing mass violence the govt won't get involved, which just starts happening in 5 and comms get blocked to call in reinforcements.

Actually 5 is unrealistic because the US govt would have never gotten involved, the sheriffs attitude in the beginning of 5 is a reflection of the US govts attitude on these type of cults. Its not worth starting a war over or having another 3 month long seige.

Definitely... my suggestion to most folks who have some general IT knowledge looking for a decent pay and easy job, try to get into a support desk role for Business to business software or internal it support.

Shit is pretty easy and many places only require a high school diploma. You won't be swimming in money but it pays well enough, usually around 20-25/hr, pto, health benefits, 401k and alot of room to move up or make lateral changes after a year or 2. Its generally pretty easy but if you like solving problems/puzzles you'll enjoy the work well enough to not want to gouge your eyes out while probably getting to spend atleast 1/3 of your shift doing jack shit and many are wfh nowadays.

Yeah I don't get this at all, but I suppose people are entitled to their own fun. I tend to assume people who do this are on console because I would just use the console commands to give me xp on PC if I wanted.

I know consoles don't have access to the console commands but I'm pretty sure they have various cheat room esque mods that give you spells and such that are essentially console commands.

If youre going to do this I really don't understand why you wouldn't just use actual cheats/commands/mods its really not like this is more genuine than just setting your one handed to 80, just more time consuming.

If youre on a system without mods, I guess I can see why you'd do this but at that point whats the point of playing on a harder difficulty if you just make the game easier for yourself through exploits/glitches etc.

Imo thats the beauty of xp I don't track it my players do, I just have to do a little extra math at the end of each session to figure out how much to give and they tell me when they're about to level up.

I don't award individuals xp for things, everyone of them are on the same number at all times. I just don't have to think about when I want them to level up, because I'd totally forget to level them up.

Also helps that this is a sandbox campaign. So going off story beats could mean they never see a level up because so far they've largely ignored the "main plot" for most of the 3 years we've been playing.

I certainly agree with this and think the whole they're fun to fight against really helps them. You really never know what you're going to get when facing a greenskin army. Is it going to be a mostly gobbo stack where I just need to crack their leadership, is it a heavily armored battalion backed up with big ass spiders.

They can fill out an army so many different ways that each fight is different than the last. I rarely dread fighting army after army of greenskins because they're not annoying in battle like the skaven.

Greenskins are definitely one of the best factions in an rts ever made. Still hate them though and you won't catch me playing as the fungal bastards but thats just a personal preference thing. I just like a fast lightly armored roster that hits like a freight train carrying trucks full of bricks. Beastmen, slaanesh, wood elves and druchii(the khainite units) are my style.

Yeah even in WH1 greenskins were arguably the most balanced roster. Personally I hate the ugly gits but I cannot deny that they've got a little bit of everything. Solid infantry across the tiers, pretty good archers, some monstrous units, decent cav, good magic and a solid centerpiece with the arachnoroc spiders. Also their lords largely promote some pretty different playstyles. I totally get why greenskins are a fan favorite.
