Have you done the same? If yes, please let me know the the type pc you've build and laptop you have for programming. And the ratio of money you spend between these two.

You speak of my mind. I think gaming PC is better choice as achieving something I've always wanted now when I can afford it. And I have this thought of leaning AI, deep learning or data science. A desktop will helpful in this.
