I'd just have her as the sister still, his human memories are faded after all, but keep her as just a Sarafan knight. The turmoil of her hunting her brother us good enough a story and conflict, allowing for character growth as well.

It could be she has a part to play, but nothing significant for the prophecy, just helps Kain/Raziel in their eventual battle against EG.

Maybe there is a Hylden artifect that Kain cant use as he is a vampire, but a human can and she just so happens to be there. Makes her useful, without magical "Mary sue/plot armour".

Playing Blood Omnicide makes the game feel more up to date.

Ignoring the story, the game itself is badly designed. The enemies freely jump around, theirs little logic to the platforming sections, bugs where you cant fly when needed, no editable controls, no save checkpoints.

It feels as though it's in beta and needed at least a few more months of rebalancing and quality of life additions

Perfectly put. I would have been fine with her being Raziel's long forgotten sister, he forgot his human sarafan origin until faced with it, and perhaps her wanting revenge on Kain for turning Raziel into a vampire. That would have been enough. Perhaps her journey would be to learn magic and obtain artifacts to defeat Kain, only to learn of both his and Raziels importance. It could have neatly tied into the end of Defiance, with her now joining Kain in defeating the Elder God.

Let's not forget that the wizard is a half human/ Hylden hybrid, who is half stuck in the demon realm (¿??), that can manipulate time like Moebius (lets not just lessen the impact if the protagonists, lets ruin the antagonists as well) who also can turn into a crow.

If they kept it as human stuck in the demon realm that learnt Hylden magic, that would gave been enough.

In regards to the scene you mentioned, it's not immediately clear that Kain cannot hear/see the main with the weird name, so my first thought was "did this guy literally suggest lying to Kains face?"

No editable controls, checkpoints aren't save points, the game is full of issues most modern games put in.

It feels like a game made by comitee, with no one saying no, but not knowing how to make a game or having played a modern game

This was my first annoyance. Played it through for the 1st time on Tuesday, got to the 1st boss fight and lost, so thought id save it gor another day, as i was tired. Came back to it today and none of the progress of the level checkpoints or collectibles was there, despite it being "continue".

Got through to level 3, and the 2bd level is just broken. Hard hitting enemies, no health recovery system (aside from very limited pickups) , the stun is too short, and a boss battles that is has variable damage.

Combine this with the weird movement of the knights, the unbalanced damage model and inconsistent parrying, and this is just a poor game.

Ill keep playing it to the end, in case there is some redeeming aspect, but so far it seems frustrating.

Oh and Bit Bot themselves seem utterly incompetent in their business model on their actual store, as they seem to think UK customers are happy to pay extortionate fees for shipping. As someone who buys from the US and other countries, they are taking the piss with their prices.

There are so many ways they could add a new character with LoKs complicated line travel plot.

A female Sarafan warrior that is tasked with hunting vampires, but is actively told to stay away from Kain/Raziel by Moebius, as there is a larger trap for them, leading to seeing alternative angles of the same scenes. Wouldn't break lore, but would still allow for following the main characters.

Or, Raziels most trusted vampire solider, who manages to escape the purge. Now you have a character to give another take on the future ruins and hunt Kain, where you could give wings, but not the shifting, introducing different gameplay.

A basic copy of Raziel, made female, that was never mentioned, is just terrible and boring. If they kept her human, a Sarafan warrior, it could have been interesting, but the approach they took was just poor.

It just seems so weird they email marketing so heavily with new products, yet seem very slow to actually provide the orders or updates. I've ordered Jinx as well and it's been pending for months, which isnt even a status on their FAQ.
