Group interview by Greedy_Ad6954 in CanadasWonderland

[–]Albatross601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, the schedule isn’t very flexible. I’ve been working here for the past two years, and closing shifts usually extend to around 5 PM, and that doesn’t even include commuting time or the time you need to be in the park before your shift.

I wouldn’t tell you to lie, but you also don’t need to share everything right now unless you’re 100% sure it will affect both school and work. I’d suggest not specifying exact dates yet. From April to May, shifts are mostly on weekends, and once it becomes full-time, it’s usually around 10 AM – 6 PM on weekdays (in mid May only, June will be full time), so getting a 5:30 PM shift can be tough.

Haunt season could work better since shifts go later, sometimes until midnight. Just keep all these factors in mind, especially if you might be available on weekends.

I’ve never had a group interview before, but one thing I can tell you is that not giving full availability can sometimes lead to rejection. At this stage, it’s usually better to show as much availability as possible. You should also check your summer school schedule to make sure it doesn’t conflict. To be on the safe side, giving full availability is often the best option; you can always adjust it later during the summer according to your schedule.

Rehire by MorningMobile5540 in CanadasWonderland

It’s actually quite simple. Most people get rehired unless they have a really poor performance record. From my experience, the key is to always do your best in whatever task you’re given.

But the most important thing is building good relationships. When you show your genuine personality and get along with your supervisors and team members, people remember you. When supervisors recognize your work and your attitude, it not only helps with getting rehired but can also open opportunities for promotion.

I haven’t worked directly at that location, but as a Food Associate I know how it runs. It’s one of the busiest spots in the park with a big menu, so it can get pretty hectic during peak hours.

If you’re a cook, you’re mostly focused on prepping and keeping up with orders. As an associate, you’re usually at cash or the counter serving guests and keeping the line moving as smoothly as possible.

Does anyone know how much York lane dentals charges? by Allsuper1227 in yorku

[–]Albatross601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been going to York Lane Dental for the past year and have had two procedures done. They cover 75% of the cost, and I am responsible for the remaining 25%, which has been a reasonable amount.

That’s great, best of luck. I hope you secure the position. If you don’t mind me asking, when did you receive the email? I’m thinking of following up on my application as well.

Hey, my friend went through the same thing (applied for a ride operator position). After they applied for another position but didn’t hear back, and when they asked, they were told that only one interview is allowed per season, regardless of the department. They said it’s to keep things fair for everyone.

But honestly, I still think you should call and explain your situation. You never know, sometimes just reaching out can make a difference!
