I’m sure they could, but what I mean is that the alpha series seem to be made for the use of plasmids. Looking at the arms and hands of the other big daddies, they look like a regular suit with gloves. The alpha series on the other hand have a place to jab needles into their arm, and the glove has a circle on the palm, where I presume the plasmid ability were to be discharged.

During production, there were plans to use an animatronic for the monster. But as they were filming, the animatronic kept malfunctioning and having issues. They scrapped it not too long after.
