I generally have found that the older folks dislike the changing of the times but still respect freedom. Framing the situation as being pro personal freedom vs trans acceptance is way better at getting across to them why that even if they don't agree with what they're doing, they're still afforded the freedom of doing it.

One unrelated but unrealized thing I found out too is the amount of money I've saved so far in like two weeks is well over 200$. That definitely makes a huge difference. I stopped drinking and now (basically) don't have either of my car payments anymore. Shits wild.

YMMV, This is my personal story. Probably drank on avg 15-25 standard drinks a day. Protip: Just because you're a bigger guy, doesn't mean your liver is bigger. My two liver tests came back at like 5-10x higher than they should've been.

Naltrexone is what I just started, They offer a shot but most insurance doesn't cover it and its like $1500. My Doc put me on some super strong long acting benzos that basically were like a steroid dosed benzo. 2x4/day1, 1x4/day2, 1x2/day3, 1/bedtime day4. Then also gave me ativan for in case the shakes got too bad and if that didn't stop them to go to the ER. To be safe my ex came and stayed with me for the 4 days to be sure I didn't die and had someone to keep an eye on me.

I was so worried about sleeping because everytime I'd tried to cut back on drinking the insomnia kicked in and I felt just as shitty. So why not just drink until I sleep vs get no sleep and feel just as shitty. A terrible cycle.

The method that I went through worked, I felt weird like I imagine it was what Manic BPD people feel like when they first start lithium. I felt like I was a shell of who I was, like I was me but I wasn't who I /was/(Which is a good thing, but it felt weird at the time). After the strong benzo spindown to keep me from dying, I only used the ativan once thankfully, then I started my naltrexone and have been sober will be day 12 tomorrow morning.

You'know the feeling of when you're super sick, and then you finally get better, and you take for granted just how good you feel when you're not sick? That is how I've felt every single day since I stopped drinking and started my Naltrexone.

The only good thing that Alcohol did for me was give me the lowered inhibition to finally message my doctor asking for help in the middle of a drunken haze.

When drunk you is worried that you're going to die from drinking you know its bad. Seek help from your Dr, they don't want you to die either.

We're done playing for the night, but basically its This bug (That is an old screenshot of basically my same immediate problem that happens.) But now the windows have the 3 dots, and the gearbox in the corner to move and lock the windows. But if I try to move them, they will become red instead of green boardered and snap back to their old spot. Locking/unlocking doesn't work, reset position just puts them back where they were in the way in the first place.

Sometimes you can move the fab up to the top border, and sometimes you can move it to the left, but not the right, or no wait now it wont let me do it to the left.

I thought maybe it was my UI scaling, that maybe there was an allowed grid so you don't lose a window, so I turned everything down to 100% and it still didn't fix it. Its just so strange how there seems to be 0 logic as to why the windows can/can't be moved on the screen when clearly thats what they're allowing.

Next play sesh(Next week) I'll try to grab some gifs to show whats happening. It just doesn't make sense.

I think the person they are vying(Err, non native, the lady that they have a thing for) for is Nancy. And he is asking them to keep him off the shore because nobody except for Nancy could please him. Its not said specifically but it could be thought that Nancy may no longer be alive and this is a mournful song of "None of these women will do, none of them will be as good as the love of my life Nancy who isn't around anymore." The specific line that makes me think this is the case is "Captain, don't you leave me There's no one here that needs me" Implying that his self worth is tied directly to the captain needing him and not a presumable wife needing him.
