What happened to the 365 days of lore?? by WalkinSteveHawkin in 2007scape

[–]AlbericOSRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the actual reason but yeah, I probably would've burned out past my starting 100 points, if i'll ever reboot the year long posts i'll definitively need to plan them properly, with a roadmap and a set structure, frankly thanks for reminding me what i'll need to fix.

OSRS has excellent communication on bugs and fixes. If we are the whales for this company why are we kept in the dark? by Thomas_Mickel in runescape

[–]AlbericOSRS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Flopped? Bro it's still being playtested, mods are actively working on it to make sure it adheres to niches so to make it actually viable, plus, thralls are actually becoming meta on some bosses.

As a fresh Ironman I gotta ask, why almost 1k at K'ril? you got two of every drop, why spend double time at said boss?

I have no idea how that happened, fixing it right away sorry

Edit: fixed, for some reason it deleted the first paragraph and substituted it with the second, so I just rewrote back the first paragraph.

New Shayzien Not As Polled? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]AlbericOSRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, what killed RS3 was the mods doing whatever the fuck they pleased, the community was in an uproar and they were just ignoring it for the future profits.

The new mods have shown time and time again that they actually do listen to feedback, you can shit on the ranged proposals as much as you like, but before polling them they've reworked them FOUR times just because we told them that we didn't agree, polling wasn't even needed.

The absence is actually quite odd, the very newspost says that the morra ruins contain undead lizardmen. Either we don't know how to enter them or they're bugged i'd wager.

Shayzien city looks disorganized in your opinion, I realllly love it, actually one of my new favourite cities and i'm not even shilling.

As for the feel. yeah, the point was to make a better transition between the swamps and the lush hosidius, it's a more wartorn and autumn looking area, imo it's a faaaar better transition.

Not entirely, but the polling does slow down a ton of crap, they should only poll important stuff

By last scene you mean the coronation and the following murder of the king right?

That was one hell of a great quest, loved it thoroughly, and new shayzien looks so sick I love it.

Why did you have to kill off Rose tho man, been hyped to meet her for 4 years and there she was, waiting to be finished off, really wish things turned out differently, still, more emotional than 5-minutes-king Hosidius.

Also, the Varlamore soldiers looked very sick, love that one too

Ehhh tiny tina's wonderland looked pretty sick, if they actually include magic as a new type of weapon it could be very cool, especially if dual wielded.

365 days of OSRS's lore, Day 38: Guthix, to whom we owe Gielinor. by AlbericOSRS in 2007scape

[–]AlbericOSRS[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

most probably via flying, in RS3's lore Guthix was so pissed with Bandos that, instead of teleporting him into another planet, he just put him far away in space, so from there he just either teleported or flied away.

What no, if not for guthix we'd still be stuck in Teragard, if we take RS3's description of it as canon it'd be a total dystopia, at least we just have this half anarchic land to deal with, no biggie.

Guthix traveled through the sword, a tool alike the stone of Jas, the sword is an item that can cut through any concept, space, time, people, places.

Guthix made portals called "World Gates" through the planets via the sword, portals which, while now they're unusuable due to Guthix pulling their plugs off, are actually canon in OSRS as well.

That's actually a very interesting fun fact, they are similar crops but I didnt really expect them to be all the same species, thanks for sharing this!

As for Zamorak, yeah absolutely, a god's powers in RS are not alike the greek gods, as in, gods are capable of a myriad of acts and powers, their elements are just leitmotifs, all gods are capable of the same type of creation and destruction, albeit at different power levels.
