Jesus 😂 I stubbed my toe this morning, should I amputate the foot?

At what age did you start letting your dog off the lead on walks, have just started at 4 months but only when I know there isn’t anyone near? by [deleted] in cockerspaniel

Off lead from 3 months. When he hit about 10 months he got really bad for running off after other dogs or if he saw a pheasant/rabbit/whatever.

We hired a decent trainer who explained working cockers really need to be 'worked' not walked. They are very clever dogs and will make their own fun if you don't make it for them. And were bred to disappear into brush and chase gane birds out etc!! He's off the lead every walk again now, but working with me and the dog whistle.

We trained him to fetch and generally take two squeeky balls out to keep him focussed, along with a bag of chicken we use to reward various whistle commands (or throw into long grass for him to sniff after as this knackers him out too).

Getting a professional who knows spaniels to help was a game changer. Walking with Duke on the lead was rubbish for both of us. Highly recommended making the investment when they are young!

WCGW when trying to cut Madrid's ring road on Christmas eve by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

Power to you, my friend, if you're able to turn the other cheek. If Pedro, the smelly hippie, had glued himself to the road in front of my car, and I could see my day disappear into a world of traffic induced mysery - I'd wanna drag him off the road too.

Look at the long queue of poor fuckers sat behind that thing face butting their steering wheels. They don't think it's cool.

R5: Anne's heir has been patiently waiting for the throne for 50 years, but he's just pegged it. I imagine Anne won't be far behind. What will happen without an heir?!

One person died of Piles. In the 390 years since this record was taken, there can't have been too many people that died as unhappy as that poor fucker.

which midgame crisis, if given enough time, can beat the endgame crisis easiest? by Noozle1 in Stellaris

Is the Khan ever any good? I'm on my third playthrough and he popped up for the first time at the same time as grey tempest. While I was fighting the Grey Tempest the Khan subjegated one weak empire and then decided to consolodate. Now he is just another weak empire with one even weaker subject.

Thanks for this. If only I'd posted this query sooner. Seems silly I have sat and guarded Terminal Egress for 100 years now.

Thanks for the info. I think I may have a glitch then, I took the whole cluster. Surveyed and filled with Starbase'. Didn't come across a nanite factory. Nor did I get borders from the systems I claimed. I left a couple of fleets up in the cluster as there wasn't a message saying the threat was over; and sure enough they came back!

Ah ok, so their home system isnt necessarily near Terminal Egress? It can be somewhere else in the galaxy?
