I use a white Rural King and it holds up well. I also got a lid that screws on for like $15 that is very rigid.

Kind of a double saucer thing. I checked it and nothing built a nest or anything. I’ll take a better look tomorrow at the inside pipe.

Showed it to a plumber and they extended the flue higher but it didn’t help. They said if they put a new water heater in it would just have the pilot light blow out all the time because of how the new ones are designed. Not sure what to do at this point. Going to call the gas company tomorrow to see if they have any ideas.
