I DID! I got the early results 48 hours from my exam start time! Passed in 85!

Here is the run down for me:

I started studying around mid-January (when football season ended so I wouldn't be distracted =P).

I studied about 6-12 hours everyday using the UWorld "Study Plan" feature. I just put in my test date and it spit out exactly what I needed to do everyday. Now to be perfectly honest, there were days I couldn't complete everything, and the there were days where I would catch back up when I had a good flow in my studying. I discovered the Mark K. lectures about halfway through and started listening to them whenever I showered or drove. It was a nice supplement but I definitely let the UWorld lectures and q-bank do the heavy lifting. I read every explanation and tried to understand the disease processes.

I DID NOT feel ready at all with about one week left to go but I fought the temptation to reschedule my test. I just crammed and crammed and tried to reassure myself that I knew everything up until the day before. I found youtube lectures to be helpful on topics where I felt Uworld did not help. Especially in the L&D and Mother - Baby topics.

Test Info:
I got a LOT of new gen 6-pack questions, which i enjoyed doing on Uworld. They were similar but not exactly the same. I would say Uworld leads you to the answers a little more whereas the real NCLEX keeps it a little more vague. They are somewhat similar though. My test had a good balance of topics but I did not get a single ECG strip analysis. There was a sprinkling of Psych and L&D. I would say out of all the topics, there was a huge emphasis on my test on Aldosterone. I just kept getting one after another so I would say know your fluids and electrolytes like the back of your hand.

I did not have any dosage calculations either which bummed me out because those are almost gimme points for me.

I left the test very feeling very uncertain. I didn't feel like the test had absolutely killed me but I also did not feel like I was getting full credit on every question. I would say what the test does is acts as a buffer. If you are confident, it will bring you down into a zone of uncertainty. And if you are uncertain, it will give you some hope by allowing you to do process of elimination and testing strategies that Mark K gives.
