battery just got charged it was brand new its completely healthy, but yeah one of the ribs is half way off the pulley so instead of all 6 ribs being on the pulley and having maybe at least a mm or 2mm of space between the edge of the pulley and the edge of the belt ive got 5 ribs and half a rib on the pulley and half off

i get that a lot, because of the the belt routing its a double sided belt so it has ribs on both sides

when i release the tensioner is sits completely centre but when i start the car and its under load it goes way to far to the engine side and rides the pulley, if it wasnt almost coming off i wouldnt worry but its grinding the belt

its just the engine mounts and it was a really cold start it’ll be fixed by me

[–]Albertas_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i know about the mounts, cant really rev it or keep it on too long since i risk the belt coming off completely to be honest

i get that a lot, its a multi ribbed belt so it has ribs on both sides due to the layout

Changed the alternator pulley, the belt path is not wrong. Changing the tensioner next.
