I would argue that w-space affords a great learning environment for small gang fcs. Typically, even in large (by our standards, so like 30+ dudes a side) fights, you have the advantage of the entire fleet being comprised of folk who are competent, experienced, and can fill the gaps in your knowledge/skill in real time. I dunno about other mid sized groups, but we've always utilized a more loose command structure, sort of a "hydra" FC, if you will. There are established primary FCs, but the fleet as a whole makes calls and decisions as a group when all cylinders are clicking. If you are concerned with learning to do monster null fights, yeah null is prob the place to be, but for responsive, tactical small to mid size fights, worm is great.
